Despite it being a weekend, a pretty big Nintendo-related presentation took place today. Pokemon Presents is something we’ve seen previously, but it made a return again for Pokemon Day.
It goes without saying that Pokemon Scarlet / Violet was the biggest announcement of the show, closing out the presentation. Gen 9 is here, and it’s bringing along an open-world with it. We also got a new update for Pokemon Legends: Arceus, Shaymin’s appearance in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond / Shining Pearl, Alola Pokemon for Pokemon GO, and more. The February 2022 Pokemon Presents event had plenty of news to share, including the reveal of Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet. The Pokemon Company has now shared an official announcement recapping all of the big news.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is open world, Pokemon Home compatibility

Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet will feature an open world, The Pokemon Company has confirmed. Additionally, we have news about support for Pokemon Home.
As far as a general overview, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are said to “take a new evolutionary step in the Pokemon main series.” Players will be able to “explore an open world where various towns with no borders blend seamlessly into the wilderness.” Similar to Pokemon Legends: Arceus, creatures are out and about everywhere – be it the skies, in the sea, and on the streets.

Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet announced for Switch

Original: Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet have just been announced. Both titles are coming to Switch in late 2022.
The Pokemon Company revealed the news during the end of today’s Pokemon Presents presentation. A trailer showed a new setting, but seemed to showcase the type of gameplay we’ve seen from Pokemon Legends: Arceus with a full 3D perspective, Pokemon roaming in the wild and more.
Additionally, the starters were shown. Names weren’t divulged, but we have a look at their designs below.

Pokemon Presents live stream – February 2022

It’s officially Pokemon Day, and The Pokemon Company is celebrating with a special February 2022 live stream known as Pokemon Presents. Today’s 14-minute presentation will deliver the latest news about the franchise. As a reminder, it will go live at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET / 2 PM in the UK / 3 PM in Europe.

Hotel Transylvania: Scary-Tale Adventures has a final release date. The Switch title will release on March 11, 2022, Outright Games has announced.
Hotel Transylvania: Scary-Tale Adventures was first announced last May. Originally, Outright Games was targeting an October 2021 release.

7th Sector getting a physical release on Switch

Strictly Limited Games has announced plans to produce physical versions for 7th Sector on Switch. Not only will there be a standard release, but also a “special” limited edition.
The standard version will be limited to 2,500 copies while the special limited edition will have 1,500 units. Included in the latter is an exclusive box, original soundtrack CD, reversible poster, two magnets, three acrylic art cards, five postcards, two stickers, and a manual.
