The final week is upon us (well… those of you in the North America), we’ll all be creating these moments in-game soon and it’ll be us picking up the slack for Sakurai on Miiverse!

 

 

It’s time for the latest Famitsu’s most wanted games chart! Final Fantasy XV, Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire, Final Fantasy Explorers, Persona 5, and Bravely Second are the new top five.

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U supports a whole bunch of controllers. You can use a GameCube controller, the GamePad, the 3DS, the Wii Remote, and more.

As it turns out, the DK Bongos are also supported! You know, those controllers that were made for Donkey Konga and Donkey Kong Jungle Beat for the GameCube. Players can use the DK Bongos by plugging them in via the new GameCube Controller Adapter for Wii U.

Monster Hunter Frontier G will soon be receiving a fresh collaboration with Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Capcom is providing weapons and costumes based on the franchise as well as a special in-game event. View a short trailer above.

Nintendo’s updated amiibo website gives a complete overview about the compatibility of the different figures in Hyrule Warriors.

Here’s a look as to what’s posted on the site:

Tap the Link amiibo figure to receive a new weapon to use in battle: the Spinner from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess game.

Tap the Zelda amiibo figure once per day to get a weapon rated 3 stars or higher.

Tap any other amiibo figure once per day to get a weapon rated 3 starts or lower, Rupee bonus or crafting material bonus.

Hyrule Warriors will receive an update later this month for added amiibo functionality.

Concept art for Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric has emerged, showing some… interesting things. Craig Harris and Nicolas P Villarreal – two staffers who worked on the game – recently posted the art to their Facebook accounts.

Here are some of the noteworthy tidbits shown in the art:

– Eggman was a Hillbilly type character
– Lyric was to be an owl
– Sonic in trousers
– Sonic Boom was codenamed Project Apollo
– Chao were planned (called Chaos), looked like baby dragons
