Update: It’s official: if Shaq Fu hits its goal, the game will head to consoles, including Wii U. 3DS support appears to have been dropped.

Original:

Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn could end up receiving full console support for its Indiegogo campaign.

If this is something the team pursues, the game would head to Wii U, 3DS, and other platforms assuming the main goal is met. This would mean that no additional funds/stretch goals would be involved.

Looks like Disney Interactive is planning something new for Disney Infinity… and Marvel characters will be involved!

What’s the team behind Super Mario 3D World working on next? Why, a new Mario game of course!

Nintendo producer Yoshiaki Koizumi wouldn’t say if the new project is for Wii U or 3DS while speaking with EDGE. He did mention, however:

“That’s still a secret! I can tell you, though, that we’ve already started approaching our next challenge.”

“There’s still a lot more room for discovery and invention, and we’ll continue to propose new and exciting game mechanics going into the future.”

Along with today’s screenshot, Sakurai passed along the following message on Miiverse:

Pic of the day, and a very important announcement.

On 4/8, at 3 PM PST (8/4 11 PM UK time), we’ll be airing a Super Smash Bros. Direct!! There will be all kinds of info about the new Smash Bros. games on this simultaneous global stream that will be delivered “directly” to you, so don’t miss it!

It’s airing at a really late time for some of you, but it’ll probably be worth the wait.
You can watch the stream from the official site (www.smashbros.com).

Later today, Nintendo will be hosting a Direct for Super Smash Bros. Wii U/3DS. We can count on plenty of details to be unveiled such as new characters in all likelihood.

Some had also hoped that today would be the day that a release date would be announced. It’s time to readjust expectations though, as it’s been confirmed that no such information will be shared.

The Japanese Smash Bros. Twitter account noted several hours ago that “a concrete release date” won’t be confirmed. On the bright side though “we will be revealing a rough release window.”

The message states:

“[Notice] We are currently not at a stage where we can announce a concrete release date; however, in tomorrow’s broadcast, we will be revealing a rough release window.”
