Have you ever wondered what it’s like for a Pokemon to be inside of a Pokeball? Kotaku asked this burning question to Junichi Masuda of Game Freak, who is a long-time developer on the series.

On that topic, Masuda had this to say:

“I think it’s safe to say that it’s very comfortable inside inside of a Pokeball, it’s a very comfortable environment. Maybe the equivalent of a high-end suite room in a fancy hotel.”

This is certainly good to hear. Pokemon deserve the utmost comfort!

Here’s something rather strange about Paper Mario: Color Splash. In the North American and European versions, the washing machine design differs between the two regions. For those who are unaware, this is one of the “Thing” cards in the game.

It’s currently unclear why two unique models were prepared. This sort of makes you wonder what’s in the Japanese version!

In The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, the Forest Water is primarily used to heal Withered Forest Trees during an early part of the game. However, YouTube user Fish_waffle64 recently came across another usage: to essentially kill one of the game’s bosses instantly.

The Kalle Demos boss fight is normally a battle that would take the average player several minutes to complete. But if you use the Forest Water after exposing its core with the boomerang, it’ll go down right away.

Here’s a look:

What’s amazing about this is that the Easter egg works in the original Wind Waker on GameCube as well as the HD version on Wii U. That means, technically, the opportunity for it to be spread widely online has been there for years. It doesn’t really seem like something that’s really been publicized though!

Thanks to Jake for the tip.

While playing Pokemon GO last night, Twitch user Rickeybot was assaulted and robbed in New York’s Central Park. It all took place as the game was being streamed. Luckily, the assailant’s face was shown on camera, which should make it easier for police to take action.

Before heading to the hospital, Rickeybot reported the crime. Those watching the broadcast on Twitch also put in calls to the police.

Rickeybot did post the following on Twitter earlier today:

We’ve posted a video of the situation after the break. Obviously it isn’t the best thing to watch!

The folks over at Smosh have once again produced an “honest trailer” for a game. This time, the video focuses on Ace Attorney. Check it out below.

Pokemon GO’s popularity has been taken to another level thanks to some craziness in Taiwan. On Saturday, what looks like thousands of players went into a frenzy after Snorlax appeared.

A video spotted by TIME shows the chaos. While it’s unverified, Chinese media reports indicate that the Xinbeitou district has become a daily focus for “thousands” of players looking to catch Pokemon. The civil-defense brigade has had to be called in, plus police reinforcements from neighboring areas.

China has a new Pokemon GO ripoff, and it’s one of the creepier clones that we’ve seen.

The app comes from developer Rejected Games: FPS Adventure & Sport SimulationAdventure. “Pokeball Coach for Pokemon Go” was apparently intended to help players practice throws for Niantic’s true game, but it included designs that offer plenty of nightmare fuel.

Pokeball Coach for Pokemon Go ended up launching on the Google Play Store in late July. However, it now features original animals and multi-colored balls. Copyright issues likely prompted the changes.
