Rise of the Triad: Ludicrous Edition, previously known as Rise of the Triad Remastered, has a final release date. The game will be available in early 2023, Apogee Entertainment, New Blood Interactive, and Nightdive Studios have announced.

Rise of the Triad has been brought to the modern era courtesy of Nightdive’s KEX Engine. The game will have increased field-of-vision, 60 frames per second of bullets, explosions, an enchanted baseball bat, multiplayer support, and more. There’ll even be a new episode created by New Blood, Nightdive, and Apogee software veterans.

We have an update on the previously-announced King Dedede Nendoroid, as Good Smile has provided a release date and started up pre-orders today.

The new Nendoroid has interchangeable eye and mouth parts to create a smiling face, a cool-looking determined face, and a shocked, jaw-dropped face. Also as an optional part, King Dedede’s hammer is included. Those that want to properly display the figure can do so with a stand that’s a part of the package.

Original (9/5): Nightmare Reaper, which previously released on PC to a strong reception, is now confirmed for Switch. Publisher Feardemic is working with developer Blazing Bit Games on the release.

Anshar Studios isn’t finished with Gamedec, as it’s been announced that a “Definitive Edition” update is on the way.

New playable content is planned, including a virtual world based on Seven: The Days Long Gone. Additional characters and True Detective Mode, “which will ensure that the decisions you make cannot be undone by loading a save”, are also planned.

It took three years from the original announcement, but we finally learned that the next Zelda game for Switch will be called The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Ever since the reveal in 2019, Nintendo simply referred to the game as “The sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild”.

After the announcement, there was some confusion as to how you actually pronounce the name. Many assumed that the “tears” referred to crying. However, “tears” could also point to something being torn up.

Super Rare Games announced a partnership with Terry Cavanagh today for a physical version of Dicey Dungeons, a roguelike deckbuilder, on Switch.

5,000 units will be made in total. Each copy contains all the current content on its cart, including the Reunion DLC, a full-color manual, interior artwork, an exclusive sticker, and trading cards.

Dragon Child is the starting class for Alear. They’re descended from a clan of dragons that has existed since ancient times and they can use Divine Dragon Sword Arts.

Publisher Bandai Namco and developer Koei Tecmo put out a new “Daily Life of a Kaiju Breeder” trailer today for Ultra Kaiju Monster Rancher. The video was shared at the 2022 Tokyo Game Show.

In the video, fans can get a look at the daily life of an Ultra Kaiju breeder and learn about how to raise their very own Kaiju – from birth, training, joining tournaments, and combining them. We’re also shown that as early purchase bonuses and pre-order bonuses, players will receive Kaiju: “Science Party Mocchi” plus the Kaiju: “Sevenger Giant of Light Skin” and Raising Items Set.

Publisher Ziggurat Interactive, along with developer Abylight Studios, announced today that Prison Tycoon: Under New Management is about to make its debut on Switch. It previously released on PC, but is now making the jump to consoles.

The game has players building and managing a correctional facility with the goal of providing rehabilitation for their charges to help them reintegrate into society. Roll Call DLC, Maximum Security DLC, and Sandbox mode will be bundled in for the Switch edition.

As part of the 2022 Tokyo Game Show, Square Enix today published a pair of trailers for Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song Remastered at Tokyo Game Show 2022 focusing on the overall game as well as characters.
