Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana will be offered to Nintendo Switch Online members as the program’s next Game Trial, Nintendo has revealed. At the moment this only applies to Europe, and is set to start next week, on August 18.

Original (6/1): Toby Fox, the creator of Undertale, has confirmed that he composed a few music tracks for Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet.
According to Fox, he was heavily involved with the field music. Once he made a concept sketch, “Game Freak arranged it into many versions that you’ll hear throughout the game.” Fans can actually get a small taste of Fox’s work as it was featured in the new trailer for Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet, available here.
Publisher PixelHeart, along with Statera Studio, have announced that Guns N’ Runs is in the works for Switch. The game will be available in Q4 2022.
Guns N’ Runs is a 2D platformer with action and shooting gameplay. We have more information about it below.
Limited Run Games has revealed Being Home Alone with You is Worse Than Death, a physical release for Switch containing three games. Home: Postmortem Edition, Alone with You, and Worse than Death will all be sold together on a single cartridge.
Worse Than Death first came to Switch in October 2019. Home: Postmortem Edition followed in October 2020, and Alone with You rounded things out in July 2021. Each one has only been sold digitally thus far.
The 2D action platformer Moonscars is on the way to Switch, publisher Humble Games and developer Black Mermaid confirmed today. Its release is slated for September 27, 2022.
Moonscars was announced earlier this year, but this is the first time we’re hearing about plans for the game on Switch. We have lots of additional information in the overview below.
