Major Minor's Majestic March Masaya Matsuura

You may recall a bit of a niche music game that released on Wii titled Major Minor’s Majestic March. Masaya Matsuura, who worked on games like Vib-Ribbon and PaRappa the Rapper, was one of the main designers involved with the project.

Matsuura reflected on Major Minor’s Majestic March in a recent issue of EDGE and had some criticisms for Nintendo. He said that the company didn’t do a good job at explaining the Wii Remote’s functionality and said “there was a lack of transparency that hurt developers like us.” Along with “adding new and subtle features” Nintendo was also “amending the design as time went on, which changed the scope for us.”

Fire Emblem Heroes Attuned Ivy & Rearmed Hortensia

Attuned Ivy & Rearmed Hortensia will be the next summoning event in Fire Emblem Heroes, Nintendo and Intelligent Systems have announced.

New Heroes from Fire Emblem Engage, including Attuned Hero Ivy: Snow Queen and Rearmed Hero Hortensia: Little Charmer, will be available. Rosado: Adorable Artist and Kagetsu: Onigiri Samurai are here as well.

The Attuned Ivy & Rearmed Hortensia summoning event for Fire Emblem Heroes starts on February 18 / February 19. We have the trailer below.

Tales of Seikyu

Tales of Seikyu, a new project from Ace Entertainment, recently took to Kickstarter where it’s seen a ton of success. Not only was the $40,000 goal absolutely smashed, but the total now sits at nearly $300,000 and a Switch version is concerned.

For those who haven’t been keeping track of the Kickstarter, Tales of Seikyu is fantasy-style farming sim adventure game. Aside from doing things like cultivating crops, players will interact with other characters, explore a special realm and obtain ability-enhancing masks, and more.

With the Sora amiibo releasing yesterday, that wraps up all of the figures for Super Smash Bros. That line alone offers nearly 100 different products. There are also many other IPs and dedicated franchise with amiibo including Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Animal Crossing, and more.

Aside from how many amiibo are out there, something that may surprise you is that it’s turning ten years old this year. It’ll be a decade of the figures as of November.

Turok 3 Remastered update 1.1.0

Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion Remastered has received a new version 1.1.0 update on all platforms, including Switch.

A ton of different improvements and bug fixes are included. This includes various adjustments for different aspects of the shooter.

Monster Tribe release date

Thanks to an eShop listing, the Switch release date for Monster Tribe has now been revealed. The store page indicates that the launch is set for March 14, 2024.

Originally announced for Switch in June 2022, Monster Tribe promises monster-taming RPG gameplay with open-world exploration and turn-based battles. More details are included in the following overview:
