Thousands of games are currently available on Switch, and there are a ton of demos out there for many of them. Not just Nintendo, but also third-parties are offering demos. We’ve now put together a comprehensive list of what’s out there.
Since our reader base is English-speaking, that’s what we’re focusing on here. In other words, we’re highlighting Switch demos that you can find in North America and Europe. Japan has a few extra demos on its end, but a majority of them are for titles that are not currently being sold in the west and are only playable in Japanese.

MythicOwl, the developer behind Harmonee’s Odyssey, has confirmed that it will release Planetiles on Switch in just a few days. The title arrives on September 30, 2024.
Planetiles, a serene city builder with roguelike elements, has players building and transforming barren planets into flourishing worlds. More resources will be made available as the biomes grow.

For those looking to save on Bandai Namco games, a huge Switch sale started this week with multiple games at their lowest prices ever, including Digimon World: Next Order and Tales of Symphonia Remastered – just to name a couple. Other franchises like Dragon Ball and Katamari are also included.

Nintendo has spoken about how the Depths in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom came to be, including how it was formed late in development. When you think about where Switch was for its launch compared to now in terms of user icons, it’s a pretty big difference. For awhile, certain system updates would slowly add new designs over time. Then at the very end of 2022, a new benefit was added for Nintendo Switch Online in which members could spend My Nintendo Points on icons. We now get new ones pretty regularly, often tying in to new game launches.

The Holy Gosh Darn is only a few days away with an eShop listing revealing the release date. According to the store page, it launches on September 26, 2024.
We were originally expecting The Holy Gosh Darn in 2023. However, it seems that the team ultimately needed more time for development, pushing the game back about a year.
