Square Enix has just started distribution of a new 1.1.0 update for Actraiser Renaissance. It includes adjustments, the ability to skip previously completed settlement siege battles after beating the game, and more.

A new update has gone live for Fight’N Rage, bringing the game to version 1.0.6. Players can now view game statistics, access a secret mode, and see new costumes for enemies. Small performance improvements have also been implemented.

Ziggurat Interactive has provided a small update for the Switch release of Deadly Dozen Reloaded. The game is now set for a Summer 2022 release window, updated from its previously planned Spring release.
Deadly Dozen Reloaded is a reimagining of the 2001 squad-based stealth game, Deadly Dozen. This version will add several new features, including updated enemy AI, adjusted vehicle physics and optional permadeath.

A new update for Fire Emblem Heroes has just been announced, bringing the game to version 6.5.0. This new update, set to release around May 9, will provide changes to the Arena, Summoner Duels, add new weapon skills, weapons to refine and more. Embracer Group has just announced an agreement with Square Enix to acquire several of their western development studios, namely Crystal Dynamics, Eidos Montreal and Square Enix Montreal. Furthermore, they would also acquire the rights to a catalogue of over 50 different IPs, including the likes of Tomb Raider, Deus Ex, Legacy of Kain and Thief.
Co-founder and Group CEO of Embracer Group, Lars Wingefors, mentions in a press release the “fantastic IP, world class creative talent, and track record of excellence” of these studios and their wish to help them “realize their ambitions”. Meanwhile Phil Rogers, CEO of Square Enix America and Europe, mentions Embracer as “the best-kept secret in gaming” and a “perfect fit for [Square Enix’s] ambitions: make high-quality games, with great people, sustainably, and grow our existing franchises to their best versions ever.” They’ve also disclosed that this transaction will enable “the launch of new businesses by moving forward with investments in fields including blockchain, AI, and the cloud”. Said transaction is being made for $300 million and is expected to go through around July-September 2022.

Nintendo is ringing in May with a new selection of user icons for Switch Online, with members now having access to various designs based on Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
Five different waves are planned and the selection changes each week. Currently Nintendo is focusing on the Mushroom Cup. Players will find icons for characters, backgrounds, and frames. Icons cost either 5 or 10 Platinum Points.
