A few months ago, a new item was datamined for Pokemon Sword/Shield. It was thought that The Crown Tundra would be introducing a new way to change a Pokemon’s ability.

With today’s news about the DLC, it’s now been officially confirmed. The Crown Tundra will feature the item known as the Ability Patch, which allows players to change the ability of a Pokemon to its Hidden Ability.

Original: To celebrate the upcoming release of The Crown Tundra in Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield, a new promotion is planned involving Pikachu.

The Pokemon Company will be revealing new codes in the days to come. By entering these codes in-game, players can get their hands on special versions of Ash’s Pikachu. A total of eight are planned with different caps.

The first special Pikachu can be obtained with code P1KACHUGET. Stay tuned for more codes in the near future.

It won’t be much longer until Pokemon GO players can move their creatures over to Pokemon Home. This functionality is set to arrive by the end of 2020, The Pokemon Company has announced.

If you send a Pokemon from Pokemon GO to Pokemon Home, players can open a Mystery Box in the mobile game which comes with Meltan. You’ll also receive a Mystery Gift in Pokemon Home with a special Melmetal that can Gigantamax.

The Pokemon Company and Game Freak have dated the second portion of the Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield Expansion Pass. The Crown Tundra will launch on October 22, the two sides revealed today.

The Crown Tundra features a new story and adventure, the return of Legendary Pokemon from past games, and the Galarian Star Tournament.

A bundle containing Pokemon Sword/Shield with the game and Expansion Pass arrives on November 6.

Former members of Techland have come together to form Untold Tales, a new publisher focusing on single-player games “that have the ability to tell an intriguing story, be it in the game itself or through gameplay.” The company has already announced a pair of titles being ported to Switch: the stylish slow-motion manipulation top down shooter The Hong Kong Massacre and the isometric adventure game Beautiful Desolation.

Today, Kairosoft announced The Ramen Sensei as its latest game for Switch. The simulation title is due out on October 8 worldwide.

Aksys Games has set a final release date for Cafe Enchante, the otome visual novel for Switch. While we knew that the western launch would be taking place sometime in November, we now have a specific date of November 5.

Each first run copy of Cafe Enchante comes with an exclusive set of six premium cards featuring the main characters. You can see what some of the early designs look like above.
