Trine Enchanted Edition was added to the Switch eShop last November. Today, developer Frozenbyte provided an update on the next two entries in the series.

Trine 2: Complete Story is due out for Switch on February 18 at a price point of $16.99 / €16.99 / £15.29. Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power will follow “soon”. And if that wasn’t enough, the entire series will be released physically as a GameStop exclusive this spring.

During the News Zero program on Nippon Television Network, it was announced that a 3D CG movie based on Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride is in development. “Dragon Quest: Your Story” will be directed by Takashi Yamazaki, who previously worked on Always: Sunset on Third Street, Parasyte, and more.

SOEDSCO has shared a new video for Xenon Racer focusing on Miami and Tokyo, two of the cities featured in the game. There are seven tracks between them, including Miami Seaside, Tokyo Downtown, Tokyo Garden, Tokyo Highway, Tokyo EXPO, Tokyo Port, and Tokyo Skyscrappers. We have the video below.

Publisher Headup and Retrific Game Studio have announced Colt Canyon, a 2D pixel art twin-stick shooter with roguelike elements. Players will control a cowboy / cowgirl as they attempt to save their kidnapped partner from bandits.

Here’s some additional information about the project, along with a trailer:

There’s been an ongoing saga with the possibility of SNES games on Switch over the past couple of months. Within the Nintendo Switch Online NES app, it was discovered that references to over 20 SNES titles had been added back in January. This seemed to ramp up further last month.

The app was updated once again today, but has apparently gone in the opposite direction. Dataminers have found that all SNES game strings have now been removed.

What this means currently is unclear. Could SNES games be moved over into their own app? Or could we be losing hope for seeing these titles on Switch in the future?

Digital Sun has announced a major free content patch for Moonlighter. At some point today, the game will be getting the “Friends & Foes” update.

Once the update goes live, players will find nine new familiars, new minibosses, additional features, changes, and fixes. We have full details from the team below.

Layton’s Mystery Journey originally came to 3DS in 2017. Last year, Level-5 ported the game to Switch as an enhanced version known as “Layton’s Mystery Journey DX”. While it only saw a release in Japan, we could finally be seeing it in the west.

A rating for Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires’ Conspiracy Deluxe Edition has now appeared in Germany. The classification suggests that Level-5 will be making an announcement soon. We do know that a Nintendo Direct is taking place later today – perhaps it could be confirmed there, if not in the near future.
