It was unexpectedly announced yesterday that the physical version of Hollow Knight has been cancelled. We had only heard from Skybound at the time, but Team Cherry has issued its own response now as well.

Team Cherry said that pursuing the retail version “proved more work than we could reasonably manage.” While the company may explore a different way for this to happen in the future, it will probably “be in smaller quantities.”

Yesterday, Frozenbyte brought Trine Enchanted Edition to Switch – with the second and third games to follow soon. Get a look at some footage below.

At PAX Aus 2018 a couple of weeks ago, Eric managed to catch up with Dave Crooks from Dodge Roll. Crooks had plenty to say about Enter the Gungeon, but also the studio’s next game.

Crooks told us that a “pseudo sequel to Gungeon” could come next “in the sense that it would be like of a similar tone and a similar art style and such”. Also, while Enter the Gungeon didn’t have multiplayer, this is a possibility for the upcoming project since the team is currently building the proper tools for it this time around.

On November 12, Fire Emblem Heroes will be hosting its next big event. Tempest Trials+: Before We Met is set to begin and will feature Azura: Young Songstress as well as the two Sacred Seals, Atk/Def Bond 1 and Water Boost 1 as big rewards. Players can clear maps to earn rewards.

Tying in with the new Tempest Trials+, a related summoning focus is now live for the bonus allies in that event. A trio of Heroes from among the bonus allies are available as part of a 5-star summoning focus.

By the way, Grand Hero Julius: Scion of Darkness has returned in Special Maps. By defeating him, you can gain him as an ally. There are also limitd-time special quests available until November 16.

Super Mario Party, one of the biggest releases in October, leads the way. Dark Souls: Remastered was another heavy hitter and falls right behind.

Rad Rodgers was first thought to be coming to Switch after it was listed on GameFly. That retailer page has since been removed, but we have more evidence that it’s happening.

The ESRB just rated Rad Rodgers for Switch this week. Now that the classification is secured, we could be seeing it sooner rather than later. THQ Nordic may have an announcement very soon as well.
