It’s always interesting to take a peek behind the curtain and get a closer look at a game’s development. On Twitter yesterday, Nintendo did just that.

A brief clip posted on the Japanese Super Mario Odyssey Twitter account gives a closer look at the making of the Odyssey take off scene in Cascade Kingdom. We’re able to see all of the different layers that went into its creation.

OPUS: Rocket of Whispers now has a release date. Flyhigh Works and SIGONO announced today that the title is hitting the Switch eShop on March 22.

Pre-orders for OPUS: Rocket of Whipsers will open on March 15. By pre-loading, you’ll save 10%. The price at launch will be $8.99 / €8.99 / £6.19.

Gal*Gun 2 is making its initial debut in Japan this week. As for North America and Europe, the release isn’t too far off.

PQube and Inti Creates have confirmed that Gal*Gun 2 launches in North America on April 24. Europe will be getting the game a bit early on April 13.

To celebrate today’s news, a new action trailer has been published, which we have below. Inti Creates will also be streaming the English build this Wednesday at 7 PM PT / 10 PM ET / 2 AM in the UK / 3 AM in Europe on Twitch.

Swim Out from Lozange Lab is hitting the Switch eShop this week. Take a look at some footage in the video below.

Aloft Studios has confirmed that Hazelnut Bastille will release on Switch. It’s currently targeting a mid-to-late 2019 release.

Hazelnut Bastille is described as “a lush, topdown metroidvania in a 16bit JRPG style”. Secret of Mana composer Hiroki Kikuta will be involved with the project.

Earlier today, Nintendo was presented with a big award from the Japanese Digital Media Association. Switch won the AMD (Association of Media in Digital) Grand Prize at the Digital Contents of the Year ’17 / 23rd AMD Award ceremony. This was provided by the Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications.
