Amazon has a great pre-order discount on Battle Chasers: Nightwar for Switch at the moment. The game is expected to cost $40 at launch, but can currently be reserved for $26. You’ll save $14 (35%) by pre-ordering.

Last weekend, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp received a new update. Version 1.1.0 was highlighted by a garden area as well as a screenshot mode and share function.

Fans have picked apart the latest update and have gone to work on finding all sorts of information from datamining. A ton of information was discovered pertaining to villagers, events, and more.

Original (12/20): Fire Emblem Warriors just updated on both Switch and New 3DS. Players can begin to download version 1.3.0.

Today’s update adds in support for the new Fire Emblem Fates DLC pack. It features Oboro, Azura, and Niles as playable heroes, new costumes, new History maps, and more. We’ll add in the full patch notes here as soon as we have them.

The holidays are here, the Square Enix is celebrating in style. New art was shared on the official Japanese Bravely Default Twitter account today, posted above.

Naturally, fans are already starting to speculate that the Bravely series could be appearing on Switch. We do see Edea Lee with Joy-Con in her hands after all. And perhaps the idea isn’t entirely crazy. After PlatinumGames posted some Bayonetta-themed art during the summer, Bayonetta 1 and 2 were announced for Switch at The Game Awards earlier this month. But for now, the Bravely games coming to Switch is merely speculation.

Last week’s launch of Romancing SaGa 2 on Switch was pretty monumental. It was actually the first time the RPG released outside of Japan on dedicated gaming platforms. It’s mostly the same game as the Super Famicom title, but with a few extras like updated graphics and audio, new character classes, a new dungeon, and New Game+.

Prior to this week’s launch, VG247 caught up with producer Masanori Ichikawa original director Akitoshi Kawazu to talk about Square Enix’s classic. They commented on a variety of topics, including the amount of work involved needed to re-release Romancing SaGa 2, the decision to stick with pixel art as opposed to going the 3D route, and more.

Atlus hosted a live talk show event for Etrian Odyssey’s 10th anniversary last week. A few vague details were shared about the project, including that it will not be Etrian Odyssey 3 Untold and surprising content will be included.

Nintendo recently kicked off a Christmas event for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. The Big N is also thinking about another big event for the game based around New Year’s.

The latest issue of Nintendo Dream has an update on the sales of a bunch of third-party Switch games in Japan. We have the latest sales data for bigger titles like Monster Hunter XX and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, plus data for some smaller releases such as LEGO City Undercover.
