This past week, 505 Games published the new Switch version of Portal Knights on the eShop (a physical version will follow early next year). You can view some footage in the video below.

Shinobi Refle: Senran Kagura debuted on the Japanese Switch eShop on Friday. Since then, it has already raced to the top of the charts, and is currently the most downloaded game. It only took a day or so for that to happen. Since Shinobi Refle: Senran Kagura is currently Japan-exclusive and we don’t talk about the Japanese eShop charts a whole lot, it’s interesting to point out.

Another Senran Kagura game, Peach Ball, is also coming to Switch. We don’t know too much about this one yet, other than its genre (pinball) and confirmed support for HD Rumble.

Around the launch of Super Mario Odyssey, Japanese website 4Gamer conducted an interview with producer Yoshiaki Koizumi. It was a pretty big discussion, with Koziumi touching on all sorts of points. He talked about how Nintendo went about developing the game, the “Jump Up, Super Star” theme song, Pauline’s inclusion (an interesting note on Nintendo’s original plans for her), the higher age rating compared to past titles, and more.

Towards the start of the interview, when asked about the theme of Super Mario Odyssey being “journey”, Koizumi first described that their initial concept was to make “a new Mario that continues to stick in people’s minds” and they thought of new ideas that couldn’t be put into past Mario games. Among them, the one that can be put in rather well was the term “journey”.

Capcom is bringing both Resident Evil Revelations games to Switch next week. Below you’ll find 14 minutes of footage from the second game, along with a video comparison with the Xbox One version.

Splatoon 2 just added in the brand new MakoMart stage. Check out some footage of the level in action in the video below.

Only a handful of Switch games support video capture at the moment. And for older titles, they need to be updated so that players can record footage.

Shovel Knight is one Switch game that will be receiving support for video capture in the future. Yacht Club told one fan on Twitter that it will be added in the next update. We’ll likely be seeing it when King of Cards launches in 2018.

Yacht Club’s tweet is as follows:
