VGMO has a noteworthy interview with composer Yasunori Mitsuda. Along with his work on Kid Icarus: Uprising, Mitsuda also discussed the upcoming Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
Mitsuda spoke about how Kid Icarus: Uprising was a bit hectic due to the various composers involved. He also faced the challenge of “managing the budget and schedule” as well as making sure that the stage music syncs with the action.
Another third-party game can now be pre-loaded on the North American Switch eShop. Nintendo and Warner Bros. have added in the option for LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2.
With pre-loading, you’ll be pretty much set for launch. You can purchase the game ahead of time and download most of the required data. Then you’ll be able to begin playing almost right away on release day.
Note that LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 takes up 10.2GB of space on Switch.

A number of global missions were held for Pokemon Sun/Moon when the 3DS games originally dropped last year. Unsurprisingly, these events are returning for Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon. Details about the first assignment were published today.
The debut global mission for Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon is for all Trainers to collectively catch 10,000,000 Pokemon by November 28. Assuming the goal is reached, every participant will receive 2,000 Festival Coins. A participation reward of 1,000 Festival Coins will also be handed out even if the goal isn’t reached. Note that those who have registered their game at the Pokemon Global Link by the end of the global mission will receive double the number of Festival Coins.
The Pokemon Global Link is planning a launch promotion for Pokemon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon. By syncing your game, you can receive a Master Ball.
Syncing can be done between November 17 and January 30. The promotion also applies to both versions of the game if you end up purchasing Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. A link will be provided toward the end of January with instructions on how to claim your Master Ball.
System3 has released a trailer for Super Putty Squad on Switch. We have today’s video attached below.
The release of Doom on Switch is almost here. There are some people who have managed to get the game early it seems, with one person putting together a video comparing it to the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One versions. See how the Switch edition stacks up below.
Swapdoodle’s latest update has been issued. Nintendo has started distribution of version 1.1.3. According to the patch notes, “Adjustments have been made to make for a better gaming experience.”
