Some of the first hands-on events were held for the new Switch version of Monster Hunter XX this weekend. The game was playable at the Monster Hunter Summit Tournament at Big Sight in Tokyo.
Monster Hunter expert Gaijinhunter tried out the demo, and reports that Monster Hunter XX is 30 frames per second on Switch. This was most likely to be expected. When it was originally on 3DS, Monster Hunter XX was also at 30 frames per second, and cross-play between the two versions will be supported.
Monster Hunter XX launches for Switch in Japan on August 25. Capcom has not announced localization of the game at this time.
Sonic Mania has a neat little feature that you may not be aware of. When playing alone, if you hold ↑ and press Jump twice, Tails will carry you.
This actually wasn’t in previous Sonic Mania builds, and it was only added in recently. One tester even filed it as a bug, but of course it’s actually just a feature in the game.

A new interview has popped up with Doug Bowser, senior VP of sales and marketing at Nintendo of America. Bowser was asked about a few different topics, including tournaments, third-party games on Switch, and Smash Bros. Watch the interview in full below .
Continuing on from the video above, Bowser took on the journalist who interviewed him in ARMS. You can see how he did in the video below.
Our video of my @thetruebowser Arms match got lost in the E3 sauce. A full edit may never see the light of day so I'm leaking it on Twitter! pic.twitter.com/FHTATYEmh4

Famitsu has new coverage of Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology this week. The magazine goes over the game’s DLC in detail, including the schedule for Japan.
Atlus will surely be bringing over the DLC when Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology heads west. If you’d like more information about the different packs, continue on below. Information comes courtesy of courtesy of Persona Central.
Psyonix isn’t setting its sights on creating sequels to Rocket League. Rather than turning it into a franchise, the main game will continue to receive updates and released across new generations of hardware.
Jeremy Dunham from Psyonix told Engadget in a new interview:
“We’re not trying to build six Rocket Leagues. We’re not looking forward to when Rocket League 2 and 3 and 4 are coming out. Rocket League is the game we’re gonna keep updating. It’s important to us to keep that going, cross-generation, across multiple platforms without sacrificing anything.”
Rocket League is a similar position as Minecraft. Minecraft itself has been so hugely popular that a sequel hasn’t been necessary, and the game is continually updated and put out on new systems.
