Runbow Pocket is finally out today on New 2DS. Take a look at the game’s official launch trailer below.
It doesn’t look like Konami will be slowing down with its TurboGrafx-16 releases on the Wii U Virtual Console anytime soon. The ESRB has added in ratings for three more titles. Ninja Spirit, Victory Run, and Final Soldier have now been classified on Wii U.
Konami has been rolling out these TurboGrafx-16 games pretty regularly. We should be seeing these titles in the weeks and months ahead.
Here’s a bit of a strange situation for you. A listing on the eShop found towards the end of last week indicated that Death Squared would be releasing on July 13. However, SMG Studio made it seem like that was a mistake.
Now we’re back to where we were originally. SMG Studio put out an announcement today confirming that Death Squared is indeed heading to Switch on July 13.
Here’s an overview of the game:
“Escort a colorful crew of cuboid companions through an insidious science facility where danger lurks around every corner. To find a way through this murderous maze and escape to safety, players must hone their communication skills and solve puzzles through a process of trial and error, as the game introduces new rules and mechanics tailored around teamwork.
Each robot must make it to their respective color-coded waypoint, navigating past deadly devices like spikes, lasers and other nefarious traps. While one false move can spell death for the entire team, as every player must survive to progress, every misstep comes with newfound knowledge and an instant respawn to put that information to use.
On top of featuring a campaign with 80 single-to-two-player story levels, 40 up-to-four-player party stages and unlockable vault content, Death Squared‘s Nintendo Switch release will feature all-new puzzles unseen in the previously-released PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One versions.”
Death Squared should cost $14.99 when it launches on Switch next month.

Using his new pal and hat Cappy, Mario can possess many objects in Super Mario Odyssey. We’re talking animals, enemies, regular humans, and so much more.
On its new UK Twitter account for the game, Nintendo offered a brief look at the Captured Chain Chomp. The GIF, posted below, shows how Mario can knock down walls.
Oh, look! It's a Captured Chain Chomp! Capturing a Chain Chomp gives you some significant firepower. Take that! #SuperMarioOdyssey pic.twitter.com/8teOedN5X0

Digital Foundry published an early technical analysis for Super Mario Odyssey based on the game’s appearance at E3. Things may change over the next few months leading up to release, but the new video offers a good idea as to what we can expect from the game.
The big thing for Super Mario Odyssey is that the game runs at a consistent 60 frames per second, for the most part. To manage that, Nintendo has implemented some interesting techniques.
Level-5 president Akihiro Hino was asked about Switch support once again while speaking with Game Informer at E3 2017 last week. Here’s the exchange between the two:
How has work gone with the Nintendo kingdom recently, and are you excited about making games for the Switch?
Well, let’s just say the Nintendo kingdom, in recent years, has really sprung back with the Nintendo Switch, so I think it’s time to increase our foreign trade development department with the Nintendo kingdom.
We also heard from Hino a few days ago. In an interview with Eurogamer, he mentioned that Level-5 is trying to see if the Layton series could work on Switch, but the lack of a touchscreen when the system is docked is bringing about some challenges.
