While Switch was in early development, Nintendo reached out to Cyanogen about a partnership. According to former Cyanogen CEO Kirt McMaster, the two sides would have worked together on a custom-made OS, which would have been based around Android. Nothing ever materialized as McMaster told Nintendo to “stick it.”
McMaster wrote on Twitter:
@romainguy @dnaltews @rebelleader In the early days of cyanogen Nintendo wanted us to create an os for a certain portable. I told them to stick it.

McMaster added that Switch mostly uses a custom kernel. However, it does contain “bits of Android” as well.

We first found out about Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology – a remake of Atlus’ 2010 DS RPG – a few hours ago. First details have now leaked from Famitsu.
On 3DS, this new version has enhanced graphics, beautiful visuals inserted for event scenes, and the ability to change the difficulty level. A-1 Pictures produced the opening animation. Players can also choose from two modes when they first begin:
– Perfect Mode: newly added Sub-History in addition to the Standard History and Alternate History of the original title right from the beginning of the game
– Append Mode: start with Standard History and Alternate History, and after clearing those, you can move on to the new Sub-History. Difficulty level can also be changed.

Nintendo shared the following overview for Fire Emblem Echoes today, which also contains official English details about amiibo support:
It’s been 26 years since Street Fighter II: The World Warrior originally launched, but one player – going by the name Desk – has managed to find some new combos in the game.
Desk takes the game’s Vega restand glitch to a new level. He’s basically discovered that you can continue to hit Vega (Claw) when he has been knocked down by a sweep. The glitch itself isn’t new, but Desk found an original way of working with it and pushed its limits.
Here’s a look:
Nintendo has sent out a few more details about what to expect from Super Mario Run version 2.0.0.
Once the new update is applied, players will see “A Challenge from Bowser”. Completing it will allow you to take on World 1-4 without having to pay. Then by finishing that level, new courses will be added in Toad Rally, plus Blue and Green Toads will also come to cheer in the free version. More items will be added to Kingdom Builder such as the Blue Yoshi home to unlock Blue Yoshi.
Super Mario Run version 2.0.0 launches on March 23 alongside the Android release.
