Nintendo of France is continuing its Q&A video interview series with Eiji Aonuma, producer of the Zelda franchise. For today’s question, he was asked if Link’s tunic will be present in Breath of the Wild.
Aonuma started out by talking about the clothing system and how you can change what Link is wearing whenever you like. Clothing can be obtained from chests, shops, and special events (latter is probably for story events or sidequests). He also points out how Link’s blue uniform is also worn by Princess Zelda. Aonuma then closed out by confirming that yes, Link’s well-known green tunic is in the game.
Aonuma and Shigeru Miyamoto kept quiet as to whether the tunic would be present when asked last June. Most fans likely had expected it to be present somehow though. Had it not been included at all, that would have been very surprising.

The Wall Street Journal reports that Amperex, otherwise known as ATL, is providing the battery for Switch. That’s the same company behind the replacement batteries that powered the Samsung Galaxy Note 7.
Switch has a non-removable battery, though Nintendo will replace it for a fee. Battery length is estimated to be 2.5 to 6.5 hours.
Footage of forma.8 is in, specifically showing the Wii U version in action. Check it out below.

Back in 2013, developer Disastercake started a Kickstarter campaign to fund a new 3D JRPG-inspired videogame called Soul Saga. It quickly reached the goal to have the game ported to Wii U, but we didn’t hear of it again until now.
Disastercake posted a comment on the Kickstarter page announcing that Soul Saga is still coming to Wii U and that they currently have no plans on porting the game to Switch.
“A lot of fans are asking me to port Soul Saga to the Switch. I’m still planning to port Soul Saga to WiiU (after PC version is complete), but unfortunately I don’t have any further information on the Switch right now. If anything evolves on either of those fronts I’ll be sure to make an update covering it. =)”
Unlike other cases, Soul Saga won’t change platforms and will still arrive on the Wii U eShop in the future, regardless of the short lifespan remaining in the Nintendo platform.
Villa Gorilla has announced Yoku’s Island Express, “an open world/metroidvania-style pinball adventure”. The game is planned for Switch and other platforms.
Yoku’s Island Express kicks off as Yoku the dung beetle arrives on the beach of Mokumana Island as the new postman. However, the ancient island God is trapped in a restless sleep and the islanders are being forced to deal with quakes and storms brought forth by its nightmares. In the game, which mixes platform navigation with pinball mechanics across a large open world, you’ll “soar through the air, vacuum explosive snails, fight a Screetch, feed starving lemurs, discover the mystery of the Fruit Altar, wake an old god, and hopefully help tiny Yoku rebuild the island post-office.”
Here’s a rundown of features:
– Genre combining open world pinballing
– Unique beautifully handpainted artwork
– An island filled with unique creatures, both big and small
– Action-packed nonlinear gameplay that awards exploration
You can watch a trailer for Yoku’s Island Express below. The project is quite far off as it won’t be ready until Winter 2017 / 2018.
