Maid of the Dead has been on the Switch eShop for a little while now, but there was no physical option to speak of. That’s about to change with a boxed version due out shortly in Asia.

H2 Interactive is in charge of the new physical release. Aside from English, the cartridge will support Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and Japanese. The game will work with all Switch systems worldwide.

Xbox and Obsidian issued a new version 1.4.4 update for Grounded, which includes some Switch-specific additions and changes such as gyro support.

Gyro functionality is optional, and it can be turned on and off with one of the settings. Elsewhere Microsoft accounts are no longer permanently linked, cutscenes have been improved to make them less choppy, and more.

Punch Club 2: Fast Forward has been given a new update with version 1.0.6.

August 13: One of the big questions surrounding Nintendo’s next console – which many have dubbed Switch 2 – is when it’ll be launching. Nintendo has said very little, only confirming that an announcement will be made by the end of the fiscal year. That means we’ll be hearing about the console by the end of March 2025 at the latest.

Chris Dring, who leads things over at GamesIndustry, may have some insight. Dring shared what he’s heard after speaking with multiple developers, who all believe it won’t be out this fiscal year. He went on to say that these teams were actually informed not to count on it arriving during the current fiscal year – meaning not before April 2025. Some developers hope it could be ready by April or May, but that’s obviously far from confirmed.

Clear River Games, Sunsoft, and Bitwave Games just provided the release date for Gimmick 2. The title is slated for September 5, 2024 on Switch.

You might be surprised by just how quickly Gimmick 2 is launching. We only just found out about the project in June, and now it’s less than a month away.
