It’s been a very long wait for Gotta Protectors outside of Japan. Thankfully, we can finally say that the game is making its way west very soon. Ancient now has an English site up confirming Gotta Protector’s release date in North America.
You’ll be able to pick up the game starting on July 21. According to the official site, it’ll be priced at $12.99.
Here’s a trailer:
Junichi Masuda is currently holding his “Master Class” panel at Japan Expo in Paris. Other than some minor behind-the-scenes info and development tidbits and some talk about Pokemon Go, Masuda also revealed a brand new Pokemon which can be found in Pokemon Sun & Moon. Check out the trailer for Salandit below:
Salandit is the first ever Poison / Fire type. Its Corrosion ability lets it poison even Steel and Poison types, which are normally immune to that status.
Nintendo’s new Developer Portal just went online – this website serves as a hub for everyone wanting to develop games for Nintendo platforms (i.e. Wii U and 3DS, there’s no NX info on the site, as expected). The Developer Portal welcomes developers of all sizes – from big companies to one-person indie devs. Previously, Nintendo had separate programs for “big” developers and for indies. The website and program are currently available in both English and Japanese.
The website offers developers help on all the steps involved with releasing a game on Nintendo platforms – development tools such as Unity, self-publishing, PR and so on.
With the Squid Sisters’ Splatfest coming up, Nintendo is now helping players add some Splatoon fun to their Animal Crossing: New Leaf towns. By scanning QR codes, residents can help their towns and homes stay fresh with  face cutout standees, shirts, pictures, and hats based on Callie and Marie. Also, don’t worry: New Leaf QR codes are region-free. Check them out and scan below:
It’s been a while since we heard anything about Pikmin 4, which was reportedly “very close to completion”. Game Rant caught up with Shigeru Miyamoto at E3, though, and asked him about its status. His response:
Yes, you are right, and we’re working on [Pikmin 4]. So, you know, when we’re in development we have to create a list of priorities and it has been hard to kind of fit that into that list, but we’re hopefully starting to see that on the list now.
Hopefully the game hasn’t been put off too long.
Earlier today, we posted the pricing of microtransactions for Pokemon GO in the UK and Japan. We now have the same information for the United States.

– 2,500 PokéMoney = $19.99
– 5,200 PokéMoney = $39.99

This week’s Famitsu has a sizable update on Monster Hunter Generations. The magazine introduces a new character, Otomon, and areas.
Ayuria is a rider who was born in a different village from the protagonist. She has an Otomon Barioth which she gave a nickname Hyouga. During her journey, she meets with the protagonist.
Hyouga is a rare Otomon that can listen to its Rider’s mind. It’s also reported that despite both being Riders, Ayuria and the protagonist have conflicting ways of thinking.
Newly confirmed Otomon are as follows:
