The first-person horror adventure game Tamarindos Freaking Dinner is in the works for Switch, publisher Neon Doctrine and developer Celery Emblem have announced.

The title is a spiritual successor to Baobabs Mausoleum, which released on Switch in 2018. It’s the second game of the “Jacob Jazz’s Treelogy”.

Here’s a bunch of information about the project:

A little while back, Pupa Productions was able to secure funding for Molochoir. Fans helped bring the project to life by raising just over £25,000. Also, the funding goal included Switch as one of the target platforms.

Molochoir is officially described as a Metroidvania survival horror game. The premise is that players tale on the role of someone that’s one of the weakest species in the world. You will primarily “be recovering health with the proboscis and risking that health to cast a variety of dangerous self harming magic to take down the eldritch horrors that stand in your way.”

One way in which players can survive in Molochoir is with a melee attack – specifically thanks to a retractable knife whip that deals minor damage and recovers a small amount of health by exsanguinating blood from enemies. However, in order to use it, you have to be very close to an enemy. Additionally, it won’t work if the creature you face can’t bleed. The blood magic “Hemomancy” can also be utilized, but this costs a varying portion of health.

Bayonetta 3 lead facial animator Akifumi Sengan recently gave some insight into what it was like working on the game, including character designs.

With Bayonetta herself, Sengan pointed out how she has a new hair style for this title. The new entry also introduced a “cute” theme. That meant Sengan had to maintain the type of characterization Bayonetta is known for while also bringing along “that additional layer of cuteness.”

Sengan said:

No More Heroes creator Suda51 has looked back on his appearance at the Nintendo Switch Presentation in 2017. He was one of a few developers that took to the stage and teased what would eventually turn out to be Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes. We later saw No More Heroes 3 from Suda51 as well.
