Taiko Drum Master: Dokodon! Mystery Adventure off to a slower start than its predecessors
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 1 Comment
Taiko Drum Master: Dokodon! Mystery Adventure managed to sell just over 32,000 copies in its first week in Japan. Media Create now reports that the game sold through just 29.31 percent of its initial shipment.
Dokodon! Mystery Adventure is off to a slower start compared to the previous Taiko Drum Master games on 3DS. Little Dragon and the Mysterious Orb, which came out in July 2012, sold 65,000 units in its first week. 2014’s Don and Katsu’s Space-Time Great Adventure then sold 53,000 copies. Both titles saw sell-through rates of about 45 percent.
Even though Taiko Drum Master: Dokodon! Mystery Adventure isn’t selling as well as its predecessors, it still should be something that moves copies in the long-term. However, there’s no denying that it’s seeing a difficult start.

Dragon Ball: Fusions – Arale, StreetPass support, battle system
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 4 Comments
This week’s issue of Jump provides another update on Dragon Ball: Fusions. We have news about another character, StreetPass support, and more.
First, Arale from Dr. Slump (manga from creator Akira Toriyama) makes an appearance in this game. As an example of her EX Fusion, she can fuse with Towa to become Towale.
Dragon Ball: Fusions seems to have a StreetPass function. If you obtain data from other players, it will automatically make fusions if the characters set have good compatibility.
There’s also some information about the battle system, though it’s still very bare-bones. Details include:
– There’s a triangle of type effectiveness
– Energy bullets have different types (perhaps pertaining to the above point)
– If you attack with an effective type, you can deal 1.5% more damage
– There is a Full-Throttle Attack where the combo is different (from normal attack)

Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 0 comments
Famitsu has pulled back the curtain on a new Battle for Money game on 3DS. Brace yourself: the title is “Super Battle for Money: The Ultimate Ninja and Battle Player’s Top Decisive Battle!”.
This new game is again based around the well-known Fuji TV show. Participants use dodgeballs to eliminate enemy targets in order to be the last one standing and win the grand prize. Support ninjas from the TV show are included along with brand new ones. Bandai Namco is also packing in a “My Ninja” feature that lets you use a meter to make your own ninja, stage original ninjas with their own special abilities, and more.
Japan will have Super Battle for Money: The Ultimate Ninja and Battle Player’s Top Decisive Battle! on September 15.
New details on Digimon Universe: Appli Monsters
Posted on 9 years ago by Jake in 3DS, News | 0 comments
The Digimon franchise is getting a new entry on 3DS in Japan, and Bandai Namco has provided some more details by opening their official site. The game bases itself (logically) around the fact that, with smartphone apps becoming very popular in the world, new Digimon have come into existence. These special Digimon, called Appmon (short for Appli Monsters), are the basis of the game. Players will build decks around Appmon, which can then grow, fight, and link with other Appmon. New Appmon can also be acquired via QR code. Furthermore, Appmon can be combined via a process called Appfusion to create new Appmon (for example, the website shows that fusing Gacchimon and Navimon will create Dogacchimon).
Though the game is due out on the Japanese eShop this fall, neither a localized release nor a retail release have been announced or dated.
