A few new details about Dragon Ball: Project Fusion have emerged from this week’s issue of Jump. Primarily, we have news about the characters.

Dragon Ball: Project Fusion features your own main character. However, it’s unknown if you can really modify him similar to the series’ last release, Dragon Ball Xenoverse. Jump mentions that you’ll be the one doing the adventuring, and you’ll meet with legendary fighters.

We also get a first look at a brand new character called Pinijji. Jump doesn’t say who he is or what his role is.

Take on all challengers, experience single-player and multiplayer battles and unlock the mysteries of Shadow Mewtwo when Pokkén Tournament launches for Wii U on 18th March

17th February, 2016 – Pokémon fans wanting to be the very best will need to conquer the new region of Ferrum, take on all-comers in a variety of game modes including single-player and multiplayer battles, and defeat powerful Pokémon such as Shadow Mewtwo when Pokkén Tournament launches for Wii U on 18th March.

Pokken Tournament is heading to Wii U, but it won’t be on 3DS. Although a portable version is something that most fans weren’t expecting to happen, Bandai Namco has commented on why the game probably won’t be gracing Nintendo’s handheld.

Speaking with GameSpot, developer Masaaki Hoshino mentioned that it “would be a challenge” to replicate Pokken Tournament’s graphics on 3DS.

He said:

“It’s definitely a challenge to get it on the Wii U with what we’re doing right now. And it definitely would be a challenge to have the same graphical experience on the 3DS.”

As for Bandai Namco’s Katsuhiro Harada, he feels it’s more of a money issue.

“Programmer does not need technology. Programmer needs budget.”

System: 3DS
Release date: February 16, 2016
Developer: Monolith Soft
Publisher Bandai Namco

The original Project X Zone that released back in 2013 was a pleasant surprise to fans of Capcom, SEGA, and Bandai Namco alike. It brought characters from each respective publisher into a strategy RPG format where they band together and go across space and time to defeat villains across multiple series, as well as original characters, to save the world from collapsing into itself through the constant overlapping dimensions colliding. Project X Zone 2 doesn’t veer to far from the original, featuring a lot of the same characters, maps, stories, and more. It almost makes this feel like more of an expansion than a true sequel, but that’s not such a bad thing. The fan service of bringing all these iconic characters into one game is what keeps an experience like this special, and the humor on top is a bonus throughout.

Pokken Tournament’s main lineup of content won’t be expanded – at least right out of the gate. It’s been said that there are currently no plans to release more Pokemon or stages via downloadable content. Will that change at any point in the future? That remains to be seen.
