Persona 4 Golden review Switch

System: Switch
Release Date: January 19, 2023
Developer: Atlus
Publisher: Atlus

Releasing originally on the PlayStation 2 in 2008, Persona 4’s small town of Inaba is not unlike my own home town. A small, sleepy community with one grocery store, one gas station, and if you drive by it and blink, you might miss the town altogether. Small communities are generally safe, right? Moving there, one might feel secure leaving their doors unlocked, with no real worries about what could happen while you run to the convenience store. Inaba, though, has a murderer on the loose – one that seems to kill through very non-traditional means. First, a local TV personality, and next a teenage student… Is anyone safe anymore in Inaba? How does one catch a killer that leaves no trace of their crime? Why do the victims show up beforehand on the eerie Midnight Channel when it rains? Why are students being targeted in the first place? Persona 4 Golden’s murder mystery has many layers, and by taking control of our Protagonist and his friends can we really solve this situation and save the lives of those targeted?

When is the next Nintendo Direct?

Since it’s January, a topic of discussion that tends to pop up around this time is when the next Nintendo Direct will be. That’s not much of a surprise, especially since fans are always curious as to what Nintendo has in store. It’s not out of the question for a new presentation to happen as we start the new year so that we can get a better idea as to what’s planned from a first and third-party perspective.

Lets Talk Fire Emblem Engage impressions

Fire Emblem Engage is a pretty big deal. It’s Nintendo’s first big Switch release of 2023, and the second major entry in the series on Switch.

How many of you have picked up Fire Emblem Engage? If you’ve started the game, what are your early impressions? Let us know in the comments below.

Everyone’s talking about Fire Emblem right now, but don’t forget that another Nintendo IP is getting a new game soon! In this week’s episode, join your hosts Nick, Nicolas and Luiz as they discuss Kirby’s Return to Dreamland Deluxe and some of the new features being added to this unusual remaster. They’ll also discuss the low (by Ubisoft’s standards) sales of Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, upcoming updates for Bayonetta 3 and Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, and much more!

Lets Talk 2023 Nintendo predictions

We’ve been doing a lot of thinking about gaming when it comes to 2023 as of late, and we’ve got one more similar topic on that front. With the year just now starting, what are your predictions for Nintendo?

Something that will probably never go away is discussion about new hardware. Switch came out almost six years ago, so it’s no spring chicken at this point. Still, Nintendo hasn’t given any indication that it will be announcing a new product anytime soon.

Outside of hardware, there are always predictions to be had about other things. There are plenty of games that could be announced after all as just a few titles are known for the next twelve months. Another thing that people have interest in concerns upcoming Nintendo Directs, and when the first presentation of the year will air.

So what are your predictions for Nintendo in 2023? Let us know in the comments below.

There are a bunch of titles that can be downloaded at no cost, including heavy hitters like Fortnite, Rocket League, and Warframe. Thankfully, free-to-play titles do not require a subscription to Nintendo Switch Online. Apps like Twitch and YouTube can also be downloaded directly on Switch.

rune factory new game

Rune Factory chief director Shiro Maekawa has commented on what to expect from the series’ new game, and also confirmed that Rune Factory 6 will be released in the future.

Fans that tuned in to the last Nintendo Direct in September saw the franchise make two announcements. Along with Rune Factory 3 Special, we’re also getting a new title entirely. However, details on the latter title have not yet been provided.

A new month (and a new year!) started up this week. Now that we’re in January, we want to know what you’ve been playing.

While game releases have slowed down overall, there’s still a ton to play. We saw a bunch of new indie games come out at the end of December, including Sports Story. Now’s also not a bad time to catch up on your backlog. No matter the case, let us know in the comments below.
