Monster Hunter 4

Capcom issued a sales forecast for Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate in its latest financial report. By March 31st of next year, the company is looking to ship 3.9 million copies of the game in Japan (and other Asian countries), North America and Europe. Keep in mind this figure includes download sales as well.

As for the original version of Monster Hunter 4, Capcom shipped 4.1 million copies in Japan. The title has seen a high number of downloads, the publisher says.

A third One Piece collaboration is planned for Monster Hunter 4. Starting on March 24, players can obtain Luffy’s Gigant Pistol and Zoro’s “Pirate Hunter’s Soul” in the form of three swords by completing a quest.

Luffy’s Gigant Pistol is a “Dual Blades” class weapon, featuring an attack power of 322 and a fire attribute of 120. Zoro’s “Pirate Hunter’s Soul” are “Great Sword” class weapons, featuring an attack power of 528 and a fire attribute of 140.

When Capcom last spoke about Monster Hunter 4’s sales, it confirmed that the game’s shipments were at 4 million. That was in December. Since then, Capcom says Monster Hunter 4 has shipped 4.1 million units. It’s also seeing a “high” sell-through rate, according to the publisher.

Capcom’s latest financial results are in, and they bring encouraging news for a quartet of Nintendo-related titles.

Monster Hunter 4 saw “overwhelming popularity,” according to the company. The game ended up “creating a huge buzz even comparable to a sort of social phenomenon”.

Capcom also says that Resident Evil: Revelations HD and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies also reached their projected sales.

DuckTales Remastered sold quite well, too. According to Capcom, the remake experienced a “better-than-expected performance”.
