Fire Emblem Warriors debuted in Japan last week. On Switch, the game sold a little over 40,000 copies. The New 3DS version also moved just under 20,000 units. Dengeki further adds that Fire Emblem Warriors sold through 50 percent of its initial shipment.

The one somewhat comparison we have is Hyrule Warriors. On Wii U, the game sold a bit under 70,000 units with a 57 percent sell-through. Later on, Hyrule Warriors Legends sold about 56,000 copies with a 60 percent sell-through.

Axiom Verge only just came out on Switch this past Thursday, but creator Tom Happ is pleased with how the game is doing so far. On launch day, Happ wrote on Twitter that it “seems to be selling quite well”. That’s in spite of the fact that other high-quality titles debuted on the store, including Stardew Valley and Oxenfree.

Putting things into further perspective, Axiom Verge did better on Switch than Wii U in its first day:

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle

GamesIndustry has some insight into UK gaming sales for last month. The site said that Switch experienced “broad growth”, leading to more games sold during September the than at any previous month since it launched. Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle also made it into the top ten.

GamesIndustry does caution that “Switch sales do appear to be slowing slightly, with stock becoming more readily available at retail.” The site adds that the platform’s performance in the UK “hasn’t matched other territories.”

The latest issue of Famitsu has shared a listing of the top 30 best-selling games in Japan for the month of August 2017. You can check out the full results below.

Pokken Tournament DX sold a little over 50,000 copies in its first week in Japan. It didn’t light the sales charts on fire, but it wasn’t a flop, and it was also one of the best-selling games of the week.

Media Create further adds that Pokken Tournament DX sold through 41.39 percent of its initial shipment, which may seem on the low side. However, the game sold about 75 percent of the Wii U version. For that release, the original Pokken Tournament sold 70,000 copies in its first week with a sell-through rate of 36.65 percent.

Media Create points out that both Pokken Tournament DX and the original title have low sell-through rates in their first week. But since the Wii U version went on to sell 179,000 copies, the sales tracker believes DX could continue to sell over time, especially during the holiday season.
