Cube Life: Island Survival’s long-awaited 1.1 update finally has a release date in North America. Through Facebook, developer Cypronia confirmed that the patch has been scheduled for December 22.

The message reads:

We know release date for US version. The Update v1.1 is coming on December 22nd in North America. FINALLY!

Via Twitter, Young Horses shared news that an update is in the works for Octodad: Dadliest Catch on Wii U. Its primary purpose is to fix bugs that players have encountered.

The tweet from Young Horses is as follows:

Update (12/11): Bumped to the top. The update is now live in Europe for 3DS digital owners. Additionally, the update is 92MB.



Original (12/10): Shovel Knight’s latest update (version 2.1) which allows for new functionality with amiibo is up and running in Europe on Wii U. It will soon be out on 3DS as well, but Yacht Club Games ran into “a small road bump on the way to finalization.” We’ll have the news here when the update can be downloaded for Nintendo’s portable.

As for North America, Yacht Club Games plans to prepare Shovel Knight’s patch by January 8.

Miiverse


Today (December 9) Nintendo sent out another update for the Miiverse social network. There are no major changes this time but the update does apply to all platforms (Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, and web). The two main changes for the December 9th update are:

  • titles can now be added to Discussion posts to make it easier for users to search through them and find ones that interest them.
  • the layout of the Discussion section has been altered slightly to show more Discussions at once.

In other news, Image & Form has revealed that a free update is in the works, and is planned for release in January. It’ll add support for French, Italian, German, Spanish and Russian language options as well as other “fun game stuff”.

Xenoblade Chronicles X

Xenoblade Chronicles X has finally arrived in the west. Alongside the game’s release, Nintendo has issued an update: version 1.0.1.

Players will need today’s patch in order to access online multiplayer features. It additionally makes minor in-game updates to text.

Nintendo brought out Zelda: Tri Force Heroes’ new update last night. After applying the patch, you’ll have version 2.0.0. In case you’re wondering, it takes up 1,100 blocks.

Update: I’ll just leave this here. Those of you in Europe can now access the Zelda: Tri Force Heroes demo and play online with friends until January 10.

The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes has been updated. Version 2.0.0, which adds new stages, outfits, and more, can be downloaded as of this moment.

The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes will be undergoing maintenance on December 2 (December 3 in Europe). As was previously announced, this is to prepare for the game’s new 2.0.0 update, which adds new stages, outfits, and more.

Here’s when the maintenance will be taking place:

– 4:50 PM PT – 6 PM PT
– 7:50 PM ET – 9 PM ET
– 12:50 AM in the UK – 2 AM in the UK
– 1:50 AM in Europe – 3 AM in Europe

Nintendo has also shared official English patch notes for Tri Force Heroes’ new update. Head past the break to read them in full.

In October, we mentioned that Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition would be receiving an update in Japan. The patch will bring about a few new additions for Mario and more.

Thanks to Famitsu, we now know when this update will be going live. The magazine pinned down a December 17 date in its issue last week. There hasn’t been any news for the west, but I’d be surprised if it didn’t make it over here as well.
