Today Sakurai shared an interesting tidbit about the archiving of character reveals that were shown off in the months leading up to release. Previously shown through live streams, it looks like the reveals will also be available to watch in-game:

You can even re-watch videos that play after you clear Classic mode and Allstar mode. This is a list of videos which are unlocked when you clear certain things. They tend to be short, but you’ll get a lot of information if you play them all in one sitting.

The Legend of Zelda Wii U

This week’s issue of Famitsu has an interview with Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma. While much of the discussion focused on Majora’s Mask, the magazine also managed to ask a couple of questions about Zelda Wii U.

Aonuma mentioned that many styles were considered to suit a Zelda game set in a wide world before deciding on the current visuals. On the topic of graphics, Aonuma teases: “Now it looks more amazing than what was shown at E3.”

Aonuma additionally notes that the enemy shown in the debut trailer is something not previously seen in the series as you have to come up with a strategy while escaping on horse. He stresses that “If an enemy like this appears, how would you beat it?” is a situation which the team has tried to include in the game.

So when will we see Zelda for Wii U again? Aonuma thinks that Nintendo may have new things to show at E3 next year.

CoroCoro’s latest issue has started to leak. In some of the new scans, we get a look at many of the Legendary Pokemon in Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire. Deoxys will be available in the game at some point called Episode Delta.

CoroCoro also provides a first look at a character named Hikane. Hikane travels with a Whismur and has Salamence.

Despite having only been announced last week, Famitsu already has an update on The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D. The magazine spoke with longtime Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma about the remake.

A portion of Famitsu’s interview covers Majora Mask 3D’s origins. According to Aonuma, after Ocarina of Time 3D released, they considered what to develop next. Shigeru Miyamoto came to Aonuma and said, “If we ported Majora’s Mask to a portable device, wouldn’t it play more smoothly than the original as it is possible to put the game in sleep mode at any time?”

Nintendo confirmed during last week’s Nintendo Direct that Kirby and the Rainbow Curse is launching in North America sometime in February. However, a specific date wasn’t shared… until today.

Over on the official Nintendo Console Gaming Facebook page, the company said that Kirby and the Rainbow Curse will be available on February 13. The full post is as follows:

Japan will be the first to receive Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, as the game is launching in that territory on January 22.

Thanks to Phil S for the tip.

A huge glitch has been discovered in Sonic Boom. By exploiting it, a great deal of the game can be skipped.

The glitch in question lies in Knuckle’s double jump, which resets after you pause the game. This allows players to skip large portions of the game, including the final boss.

You can get a look at the glitch in action above (skip around to the 13:30 mark).

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U can now be pre-loaded in North America and Europe. It’s the first title on Nintendo’s console to make use of the functionality.

Pre-loading allows Wii U owners to buy games in advance and have them downloaded before release. Most of the game data will be downloaded at the time of pre-purchase while the system is in Standby mode. The final data needed to unlock Smash Bros. Wii U will be automatically downloaded at midnight Eastern time on November 21.

You can buy Smash Bros. Wii U in advance directly from the eShop or by purchasing a download code from retailers. Additionally, the title can be pre-ordered on Nintendo.com. Pre-orders on the company’s website now support the same pre-load capability. Those who have pre-ordered the digital version of the game on Nintendo.com using their Nintendo Network ID will be emailed a redemption code within 72 hours. Once redeemed, they will also be able to pre-load the game.
