try before you buy Switch eShop sale Metroid Dread

Nintendo has just started a new “Try Before You Buy Sale” on the Switch eShop, and it includes the lowest price yet for Metroid Dread.

The sale includes a bunch of games that have demos. Outside of Metroid, there are other first and third-party titles such as Triangle Strategy, ARMS, Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series, Miitopia, WarioWare: Get It Together!, Yoshi’s Crafted World, and more.

Nintendo-labor-complaint-Mackenzie-Clifton-settlement

Following a a National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) complaint filed by former Nintendo of America QA worker Mackenzie Clifton, a settlement has been reached. An agreement was filed Wednesday and both parties must uphold their end of the deal.

Aston Carter, a staffing agency that works with Nintendo, intends to take liability here. Clifton will be payed $29,910 in back pay, damages, and interest. Nintendo must post a notice for 60 consecutive days via email as well as on-site at its office that informs its QA workers of their rights under the National Labor Relations Act.

Persona 5 Royal SEGA

Atlus is finally delivering on what many fans have been asking for by bringing past Persona games to new platforms, including Persona 5 Royal. As it turns out, we can thank SEGA for the Switch port.

Atlus producer Shinji Yamamoto revealed in an interview of Famitsu that SEGA led the way on the project. Yamamoto mentioned how he “didn’t realize how hard it would be.”

Trinity Trigger Day 1 Edition

Original (10/7): XSEED Games has revealed special editions for Trinity Trigger and Loop8: Summer of Gods, with the two RPGs set to receive a Day 1 Edition and Celestial Edition respectively.

The Day 1 Edition for Trinity Trigger in the west has a 5.25” by 7.25” softcover artbook brimming with over 100 pages of game artwork from esteemed artists Yuki Nobuteru and Raita Kazama along with a two-disc soundtrack featuring the moving game score by composer Hiroki Kikuta, packaged together with the game in a custom box.

Switch update 15.0.0

Nintendo is now offering the latest firmware update for Switch, version 15.0.0.

Despite being a main number change, this one seems relatively insignificant in nature. At the same time, there’s more here than simple stability improvements – though of course that’s also included.

Sonic Frontiers Monster Hunter DLC

Original: Monster Hunter DLC has been announced for Sonic Frontiers, with SEGA just making the announcement moments ago.

Unfortunately, we’re mostly lacking information at present. SEGA says that the DLC is going live on November 14 at 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET for free.
