Developer Square Enix has set a date for an upcoming livestream, which is planned to fully introduce DLC pack No. 3 for Dragon Quest Builders 2 — this time focusing on modern architecture.

This fits in line with the themes of previous DLC packs that have come to the game, which were a Japanese-style pack and an aquarium pack. Those interested can find and tune in to the broadcast here.

If you’ve ever watched the Star Wars prequel trilogy and thought “Man, this would be so much better if it were a Japanese role playing game,” then Final Fantasy XII is the game for you. With its fusion of medieval and sci-fi ideas in its setting and its heavy political overtones, it easily draws plenty of comparisons to George Lucas’s iconic space operas – it even comes complete with an evil Senate-led Empire and a plucky young orphan destined to take it down. Also like the prequel trilogy, Final Fantasy XII has been a point of contention for its series’ fans ever since its first release on the PS2 in 2006. Its unconventional real-time combat was a far cry from the classic turn-based battles that had defined the franchise up to that point, and the entire core structure of its politically charged storytelling and combat management felt like a dramatic change from traditional Final Fantasy experiences.

Now that Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age has arrived on new platforms, Digital Foundry has taken a closer look at the RPG from a technical perspective. We’re able to see how the Switch version holds up against the Xbox One release.

First up, Final Fantasy XII is just 12GB on Switch. That’s in comparison to the file size of 26GB for the Xbox One version. The two versions are very similar, and the only notable different on Switch is that there are some lower resolution textures.

Square Enix is back with its latest “Inside Final Fantasy” video series, this time focusing on Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster. In the video below, producer Yoshinori Kitase, event main programmer Takashi Katano, event director Momotu Toriyama, and X art director Yusuke Naora talk about the making of the two RPGs.
