Cotton Reboot!

Weekly Famitsu has revealed that Cotton Reboot! will be arriving on Switch in late February in Japan. Originally slated for a 2020 release, this game is brushed up from the original arcade release and includes the original title and a new “Arrange Mode.” This new mode will allow players to use the new enemy-sweeping “Split Shot” and score-boosting “Jewel Fever.” The game also includes an Easy Mode for new players, and a Veteran Mode for those already familiar with the game’s mechanics. New visual scenes are also included by artist Hideki Tamura. As a refresher, you can take a look at last year’s trailer to get a better idea of how the game plays:

Metallic Child is coming to Switch and other platforms in spring 2021. The roguelike action game puts you in control of an android named Rona, allowing you to take on ten types of bosses and discover the mysteries surrounding the Life Stream. The Mega Buddy Challenge event is available from now until September 28th. Various Timed Research will need to be fulfilled by players and their friends. If players complete the Timed Research, they will gain access to the Timed Research during Halloween to get Mega Gengar. Notably, Shiny Doduo and Dodrio will now be available in game as well.

Dragalia Lost is now counting down to its 2nd anniversary with an event that started Sept. 20, 11 PM PT. Players that log in every day will be able to collect various rewards like Summon Vouchers. In addition to the daily login bonus, they’ll be posting new art from the Dragalia Lost team every day until the anniversary. As of now, its filled with a lot of “Coming Soon” blocks, but we hope to see more information as the auspicious day looms closer.

Players of Pokemon Masters EX can now face off against Legendary Pokemon of the lake, Azelf. Players can earn medals and rewards for taking on and completing the fight with various tiers available for extra challenge. Players can take on the task for two weeks, with the event ending September 30th 2020.

Additionally, a new Spotlight Scout focused on Guzma & Golisopod and Burgh & Leavanny is also available. If you are hoping to catch a bug-type sync pair, this may be the time for you. Will you be participating in the new events or chasing after a sync pair from the Spotlight Scout?

Another new Spotlight Scout is now live in Pokémon Masters EX. This Spotlight Scout focuses on the Sync Pairs of Sabrina & Alakazam and Caitlin & Reuniclus. This will last until September 30th at 05:59 UTC. You can chase after these Psychic-themed duos for the rest of the month — will you be trying to add them to your Sync Pairs?

Mad Rat Dead arrives in a little over a month – October 29 in Japan and October 30 in North America and Europe. Nippon Ichi Software has released a new trailer with iconic mascot character Prinny dancing to music from the game. You can check out the trailer here:

Flame-attuned adventurers and dragons will be all the rage come Sept. 14, 11 PM PT. A Platinum showcase will be live, and a flame-attuned 5★ adventurer is guaranteed to appear as the tenth summon in your tenfold summon for this banner. The Flame Focus summon showcase will only  have flame-attuned adventurers and dragons, but no guarantee for a 5★ unit. Remember that Platinum showcases are paid currency only, so spend wisely.

Previously set for a 2020 release, Forward to the Sky will now see its arrival on Switch in the early 2o21 release window. Additionally, the same tweet that informed us of the delay has also given some insight for the voice casting: Tamako Miyazaki will voice the protagonist Princess, Megumi Sakuragi will voice the Witch and Crystal, and lastly,  Mao Amatsuka will sing the theme song.

For those who wish to see the game in action, per Gematsu it will be playable at upcoming game events such as Digital Games Expo 2020, which will take place on November 29 in Akihabara, Tokyo. D3 Publisher has officially announced its livestream lineup for Tokyo Game Show 2020 Online, which will run from September 23 to 27. You can check out the full details here from Gematsu:

D3 Publisher will host a live stream on September 26 at 9:30 JST as part of Tokyo Game Show 2020 Online. It will be called the “D3P Broadcast #SaveTheSquareEarth” live stream. The latest games from D3 Publisher will be introduced, including the long-anticipated latest entry in the Earth Defense Force series, Earth Defense Force: World Brothers, and the new and popular Maglam Lord. There will be a ton of information shared for the first time, including a certain title that everyone is curious about. Please look forward to it!

The schedule includes a variety of programs unique to the online format hosted all throughout the day, including special talk shows featuring wonderful guests and game tournaments with viewer participation. Detailed program content will be announced soon via channels such as the D3 Publisher official website and Twitter account.
