Been enjoying your special Vivillon in Pokemon X & Y? Japanese players have a little bit more to look forward to over the next couple of months it seems, with a couple more special Pokemon headed there way. First, to coincide with the annual Tanabata Festival, a Level 10 Jirachi will be distributed from August 1st – 31st. It has the moves Wish, Swift, Healing Wish & Moonblast and will come holding a Star Piece. The other special Pokemon to be distributed will be another Vivillon, this time with a Pokeball pattern. Available August 1st – 18th, players will be able to pick up this Vivillon from Pokemon Centers around the country to celebrate the Pokemon Center Summer Festival. The Vivillon will be identical to the one distributed to French players last month.

Alternate costumes anyone? Today Sakurai shows off some unexpected alternates for some Nintendo mainstays!

Over on Twitter a fan asked Sega Developer Yosuke Okunari whether or not we could expect any SEGA games coming the way of Wii U, but it doesn’t look hopeful.

Just want to thank you for helping with the Nintendo Virtual Console. Introduced me to a lot of games on wii! Any Wii U VC plans?
