Courtesy of the latest Shonen Jump, a few screenshots and art pieces of Final Fantasy Explorers have emerged giving us a taste of what’s to come. Additionally, the 4 of the jobs that are available in the game have been outlined:
Knight – Well-balanced in offense and defense. In addition to their offensive capabilities have specialised skills that can be used for guarding
Monk – All about physical attacks similar to past games, Monks rush down enemies with barrages of attacks, with low defensive and high health
Black Mage – Offensive magic experts, can attack enemies from a long range. Presumably ‘glass cannon’ type characters i.e. high damage but fairly low defensive options
White Mage – Heals and powers up allies

The newly announced Mii fighters operate a bit differently to traditional Smash Bros. characters thanks their customization options and today Sakurai explains a bit more about that:
Here are some weapons the Mii Swordfighter can use: Shurikens of Light, Chakrams, and Gale Strikes. You can control the direction the Chakram is thrown, or even make it stall in midair. The Chakram is also the only one of these tied to the side special move, so you can use one of the other items consecutively with this one.
Reggie: Wii U is second place in current console war, Nintendo doesn’t need to release another console
Posted on 10 years ago by Jarop(@gamrah) in General Nintendo, News, Wii U | 12 Comments
During an interview at last week’s E3, Reggie was asked whether or not he thought the Wii U could ever outsell the Playstation 4 or Xbox One. He had the following to say:
“The dirty little secret is if you look at life-to-date numbers, between Sony and Nintendo they’d be pretty close in terms of PS4 vs. Wii U, with Xbox coming in third place,”
“I think it’s going to be a three-horse race for the balance of this cycle.”
Reggie admitted that the delays of Wonderful 101 and Pikmin 3 caused issues for the console at launch but also doesn’t think that warrants another console right away:
“We think that the Wii U has a long and vibrant life in front of it,”
“What it needs are games like Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros Wii U and Splatoon – those types of games that can really drive the installed base. We believe if we can do that effectively the Wii U has a long and robust life.”
“The interesting point there is that when we announced the Wii U and when we announced all of the launch details, we fully expected games like Wii Fit U, Pikmin, the The Wonderful 101 to be in the launch window,”
“The Nintendo quality bar is really what kept us from launching those games potentially in February or March and so that’s what created the lack of software during that initial launch phase.”

Rumor: Canada not getting Pokemon Omega Ruby / Alpha Sapphire with the US release
Posted on 10 years ago by Jarop(@gamrah) in 3DS, News, Rumors | 7 Comments
A user over on NeoGAF has noticed some obscure wording in a couple of the press releases for the upcoming Pokemon titles pertaining to the release of the game in the United States and Canada. The Canadian ORAS site has a listing of November 2014 vs. the US site which has a concrete November 21st release. Additionally, many of the press releases regarding the release have specified that release date is coming to the United States against the usual inclusion of the region. Check out the posts below and let us know what you think:

In the press releases I’ve got, they have rather emphasised the date as being for the US
Tuesdays:
E3 has begun and The Pokémon Company International just announced that Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, which both take place in the beautiful Hoenn region, are launching in the United States on November 21, 2014.
Wednesdays:
Sableye is a Pokémon that was first discovered in the Hoenn region, which is now confirmed as the location for Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, both launching for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems in the United States on November 21, 2014.
Todays:
The Pokémon Company International and Nintendo announced more details today about the new Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire video games, launching in the United States November 21, 2014, for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems.
Many people thought this was an error, but my friend at PLDH got this response from TPCi earlier today
So it’s worrying. It appears Canada and Europe are excluded from the worldwide launch.

E3 might be all done and dusted for the year but Sakurai has one final image to round out the week for us:
This is quite a line-up of characters for the gaming world. I mean, it’s amazing enough that Mario can fight Pikachu. I hope you enjoy this truly unique celebration!!
