Today, Nintendo has detailed its plans for Insomnia61, the biggest gaming festival in the UK. Taking place 25th–28th August 2017 at the NEC in Birmingham, the biggest draw for fans will likely be Super Mario Odyssey, which will be playable at Nintendo’s booth. Attendees can also try out other Switch games, such as Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle and Pokken Tournament DX.

In addition to that, Nintendo is also putting a big emphasis on competitive gaming. Nintendo is hosting a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe tournament on Friday, August 25th, and a Splatoon 2 tournament on Saturday, August 26th. If you want to take part in them, you can sign up for them right there on the show floor. Finally, Nintendo is hosting the Nintendo Players UK ARMS Invitational on Sunday, August 27th. This one isn’t open to everyone, but instead will feature 16 of the UK’s best ARMS players.

Cordelia and Female Robin have just been revealed to be coming to Fire Emblem Warriors, but the official Twitter account for the game is already teasing what’s next: sometime this month, a male archer and a female rider will be revealed.

The male archer is likely to be either Virion or Takumi, but the female rider is a lot harder to predict. Camilla, Hinoka or Caeda all seem like likely targets, though it could also be Elise, Est or a number of other characters.. What are your predictions?

Ultra Street Fighter II was seen by Capcom as a sort of test run for the Switch – the company has said that its sales numbers would influence their future support for the platform. The game has exceeded Capcom’s expectation, selling about 450,000 copies worldwide so far. However, it seems Capcom is not quite done testing the Switch yet. During a Q&A session at their recent financial results meeting for the past quarter, someone inquired about Capcom’s future support for the Switch given Ultra Street Fighter II’s success. Here’s what Capcom had to say:

The Nintendo Switch seems to be doing very well, and we look forward to further growth in its install base. Beginning with Monster Hunter XX (Double Cross) Nintendo Switch Ver. for Japan, we are evaluating how we will support this platform in the future.

The next Pokken Tournament DX character trailer is here – this time, the focus is on Charizard. Give it a watch:

During a special Senran Kagura livestream held today, some more information was revealed about Shinobi Refle: Senran Kagura. The game will launch in Japan sometime this year. It’ll be available only on the eShop for 1,000 Yen. The stream also showed the game’s opening cinematic and some gameplay footage, which you can watch below.

In a special Senran Kagura stream held today, a new game in the franchise was announced for the Switch – Peach Ball: Senran Kagura, a pinball game. The game was revealed to have HD Rumble support, allowing players to feel the vibrations when the ball hits an object on the table or the body of a character.

A release date has not yet been announced.

The next two characters coming to Fire Emblem Warriors have been revealed – Cordelia and Female Robin from Fire Emblem Awakening. This reveal comes to us via the preview for this week’s Famitsu magazine, so we don’t have a whole lot of information at this point. We do know that Cordelia uses lances and fights from the back of her pegasus. We don’t know much about Female Robin yet – is she a separate character from Male Robin? Or merely a different skin you can choose?

We will have more information once we get our hands on the full issue of Famitsu tomorrow.
