Team17’s and Unicube’s survival sim Sheltered is out today on the Switch eShop. Nintendo published a launch trailer for the game today, giving an overview of the gameplay as well as the additional content found in the Switch version:

The latest issue of Famitsu has revealed that Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon Every Buddy! is set to be released in Japan on March 20, 2019. The remake of 2008’s Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo’s Dungeon was previously announced for a Western release of “Winter 2018”, so it seems likely that the Western versions of the game will also be pushed back slightly.

The magazine also revealed one new job class for your chocobo: Alpha, the chocobo from Final Fantasy XIV.

Finally, here are some of the voice actors and their roles in the game:

  • Cid (CV: Yuichi Nakamura)

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Nintendo just sent out a press release detailing some of their recent software and hardware sales in the US. Specifically, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has managed to sell 3 million copies in 11 days, making it both the fastest-selling Switch game as well as the fastest-selling Smash Bros. game. Also, as of November 2018, the Switch itself is it 8.7 million units sold, which is more than any other current-generation console managed at this point in its life cycle.

Here is the full press release:

An interesting listing has popped up on Amazon Italy: a physical release for a double-pack of Ubisoft’s Child of Light Ultimate Edition and Valiant Hearts. Both games just saw a digital release on Nintendo Switch, so it’s not a huge stretch that Ubisoft would want to bundle both of them together for a physical release. According to Amazon, the double-pack will be released on January 31st, 2019, though that might just be a placeholder. That said, it hasn’t been officially announced yet, so take this with a grain of salt.

Splatoon 2’s next global Splatfest is taking place this weekend. This time, the theme was inspired by Super Smash Bros. as fans are asked to side with either heroes or villains. As always, the Shifty Station stage that’ll appear in the map rotation during the Splatfest will have a unique layout. The Splatoon Twitter account posted a screenshot of how the stage will look, which you can see above.

A slight update on the Pokemon movie front: Pokemon the Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution’s opening day in Japanese theaters will be July 12th, 2019. Unfortunately, that’s pretty much all the information we have on the movie right now. Given its title, we can infer that Mewtwo will have a starrring role, but so far we have no official synopsis and no trailer yet.

There’s also no word yet on the movie’s international release. The past couple of Pokemon movies got a limited theatrical run in some countries before being released on home media and streaming services.
