Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope Bowser

Ubisoft has worked with Mario on two games now as part of its Mario + Rabbids series, but we’ve been wondering if the team would have interest in playing around with another Nintendo franchise. This is something that we posed to producer Xavier Manzanares in a recent interview.

Manzanares said the studio has “tons of dreams”, and thought about “a lot of other characters” when it was initially moving towards working with Nintendo in 2014. On the topic of wishes being fulfilled, he said having Bowser playable in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is “already a dream come true for us”.

pokemon scarlet violet leaks

The Pokemon series is no stranger to pre-release information leaks, and something similar may now be happening with Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet. Although the titles are still a few months out, unconfirmed details have been popping up over the past few days.

The source seems to have originated from a Chinese leaker, and Twitter outlets like CentroLeaks and Pkmnleak have been rounding up the information. Tidbits cover new Pokemon, which creatures are / aren’t returning, the Pokedex, a new gimmick, and more.

The Jackbox Party Pack 9 Quixort

Jackbox Games today pulled back the curtain on the next part of The Jackbox Party Pack 9, and has now revealed Quixort. It will be joining Fibbage 4, Nonsensory, Junktopia, and Roomerang.

Live A Live localization Super Famicom

Nearly thirty years after its original launch, Live A Live is finally seeing a global worldwide release and will be localized into English for the first time. As it turns out, there were originally plans to bring the title outside of Japan.

Takashi Tokita, the director of Live A Live, told One More Game that Square Enix was originally considering localization. But since “sales prospects in Japan did not seem particularly promising”, it was never released in other regions.

Build-A-Bear Pikachu 25th anniversary

Pikachu has been featured at Build-A-Bear previously, but two new variations have just appeared. There’s a male one with a winking face and another that’s specifically female.

Both are being offered in celebration of Build-A-Bear celebrating its 25th anniversary. Pikachu was specifically chosen as it was the first Pokemon sold by the retailer.

Aerial Knight's Never Yield physical

Today, Super Rare Games announced that it’s partnering with publisher Headup and developer Aerial_Knight on a physical release of Aerial Knight’s Never Yield for Switch.

4,000 units will be made. Each copy includes all the current content on its cart, including “Da Update”, a full-color manual, interior artwork, an exclusive sticker, and trading cards.

Bear and Breakfast delayed

Bear and Breakfast is seeing a delay on Switch, according to developer Gummy Cat.

We’ve heard that the studio “discovered a couple of small tweaks that needed to be made to the game’s control scheme in order to provide the highest possible quality for controller-users.” The PC version is still moving forward on July 28, but controller support will be added for that platform in alignment with the Switch release.
