Cuphead update 1.3.4

Another update has gone out for Cuphead, with Switch owners now having access to version 1.3.4.

This is a small quality of life patch that addresses a few more bugs for The Delicious Last Course DLC. Additionally, players now have the option to swap back and forth between the new title screen and the original title screen, which includes a change in the song that will play when you boot up the game.

Hell Architect

Hell Architect, which first debuted last year, is now making the jump to Switch. We don’t have a concrete release date yet, but it’s looking like we’ll be seeing it around the fall.

Hell Architect has players taking on the role of a “hell manager” who is “tasked with developing the underworld in a way that would make Lucifer himself fall off his chair.” The experience is about “building and managing your own hell” – hardly surprising given the official title. Inspirations include Dungeon Keeper, Oxygen Not Included, and Prison Architect.

I Was a Teenage Exocolonist gameplay

I Was a Teenage Exocolonist was added to the Switch eShop this week, and a bunch of gameplay is available. 17 minutes of footage shows off the narrative RPG with card-based battles.

Here’s some information about the title:

9 Years of Shadows release window

Publisher Freedom Games and developer Halberd Studios have shared a release window update for 9 Years of Shadows. The Metroidvania title will be available for PC this September, with consoles – including Switch – following in Q1 2023.

We first heard about 9 Years of Shadows for Switch back in June. A Q4 2022 release window was shared as part of that announcement.

Brewmaster release date

Brewmaster: Beer Brewing Simulator has been given a final release date across all platforms, including Switch. Auroch Digital has provided confirmation that the game will be launching on September 29, 2022.

In case you missed our previous coverage, here’s everything you need to know about the game:

Ghost Song

Today, publisher Humble Games and developer Old Moon announced that Ghost Song will be released on Switch. It’ll be out on November 3, 2022.

Ghost Song is a atmospheric 2D adventure game with “beautifully illustrated Metroidvania-inspired 2D world filled with secret chambers and a haunting history.” Continue on below for additional details.

Lou's Lagoon

rokaplay today unveiled Lou’s Lagoon, a cozy open world adventure game for Switch about running a seaplane delivery service. A release window has not yet been shared.

Lou’s Lagoon lets players customize their character, discover new islands, harvest goods, solve a family mystery, and work to keep an adorable island community afloat. Further information can be found below.

Nobody Saves the World Frozen Hearth

DrinkBox today revealed new DLC for Nobody Saves the World known as Frozen Hearth. It will include new challenges, player forms, and abilities, along with what looks like a mini golf game.

Frozen Hearth is set in an underground region in which “the strongest warriors compete for glory in The Tempering, a series of puzzles and challenges that will push players’ transformation skills and creativity.” Killer Bee and Mechanic will be added as two new transformation forms. There’ll also be new characters to meet, and rewards for conquering the Tempering.
