Hamster is continuing its rollout of Arcade Archives games on Switch this week. For its latest release, it’ll be The Astyanax.
The Astyanax originally came from Jaleco and Aicom. It’s a side-scrolling action game with six stages in which players go on a journey to take down the demon overlord Argos.
Arcade Archives The Astyanax will launch worldwide on May 6 for $7.99 / €6.99 / £6.29.

Fire Emblem Heroes announces Forces of Will summoning event, trailer

Forces of Will will be the next summoning event in Fire Emblem Heroes, Nintendo and Intelligent Systems have announced. It will feature Dimitri, male/female Morgan, and Edelgard. A new story chapter is also planned.

Spike Chunsoft is developing a new game based on the popular manga series Made in Abyss. Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness will launch on Switch in 2022, the company announced today. Numskull Games will publish in Europe.

A new Spirit Board event will be starting up in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate this week. For the latest theme, it’s all about characters that sing and dance well. You can earn more snacks during the event.
Look for this to begin on May 7. The event will last for a total of three days.

FMV horror game Ghosts planned for Switch

Thanks to a successful Kickstarter campaign, the full motion video horror game Ghosts will be made for Switch. The £165,000 goal was reached with just a few days remaining.
Ghosts is led by Visible Games. Limited Run Games will be producing a physical release.

Flashback 2 announced

Paul Cuisset and Microids have announced that they’re working on a sequel to the 1992 game Flashback. Flashback 2 is currently in development for “PC and consoles”. A release is planned for 2022.
Switch received a new version of the original Flashback in 2018. The sequel will likely end up on the console as well.
