1993 Shenandoah landing on Switch next week after starting development more than 20 years ago

1993 Shenandoah is a shoot ’em up game that started development back in 1992. Now more than 20 years later, the project has been completely finished, and will arrive on Switch in just a few days.

When you think about developers that have worked on notable Switch ports, the likes of Panic Button, Virtuos, and Saber Interactive come to mind. We should probably throw another name into the mix as well: Turn Me Up Games.
Although Turn Me Up hasn’t worked on a ton of Switch projects, the studio is starting to become more well-known. The company’s first project on Nintendo’s console was Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. Then at the end of May, Turn Me Up’s ports of Borderlands 1 and 2 landed on Switch.

Nintendo’s North American store reopens orders for physical products

After the coronavirus began to spread, Nintendo’s North American online store closed off orders for physical products. It’s been about three months since then, but now things have now opened back up.
You can again visit the online store and place orders here. Consoles, games, and amiibo are all up for grabs. Just keep in mind that orders may take a bit longer to process.

NBA 2K21 boxart, pre-orders open

2K Sports made NBA 2K21 official this week, confirming that the series will again be on Switch as has been the case since 2017. Damian Lillard will be on the standard cover while Kobe Bryant is featured for the Mamba Forever Edition. We have a look at both boxarts above.
NBA 2K21 is slated for a September 4 release on Switch. You can pre-order the game on Amazon here, Best Buy here, or GameStop here.

Visual novel Please Be Happy coming to Switch

The visual novel Please Be Happy is making its way to Switch, publisher Sekai Games and developer Studio Elan announced at KuroCon today. A release is planned for later in 2020.

Nintendo and Paladin Studios reveal how they ended up working together on Good Job!

The Nintendo Direct Mini back in March treated fans to a surprise announcement and release. The office-themed puzzler Good Job! was revealed for Switch during the presentation, and then launched on the eShop immediately after.
Good Job! wasn’t actually a project made entirely by Nintendo as Paladin Studios was just as much involved. As part of an interview with Nintendo Everything, the two companies spoke about how they ended up coming together.
