SEGA has discounted its slate of Sonic games for Switch and 3DS on the North American eShops. Sonic Mania, Team Sonic Racing, Sonic Generations, and more are on sale.

Minecraft developer Mojang now called Mojang Studios, new logo shared

Mojang is ringing in Minecraft’s 11th birthday with an update for the company. Going forward, the developer will now be known as Mojang Studios. It may not be a massive change, but it’s a change nonetheless.
Speaking about its updated name – as well as the new logo, which we have above – Mojang Studios head of creative communications Thomas Wiborgh explained:

Summoning Focus: Weekly Revival 10 has returned in Fire Emblem Heroes. 5-star Heroes who showed up before the start of Book II appear as focus Heroes, and the focus lineup changes each week.
You’ll be able to partake in Summoning Focus: Weekly Revival 10 until May 24.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons glitch lets you easily duplicate almost any item

Duplication glitches have become quite popular since Animal Crossing: New Horizons came out back in March. Naturally, many players are interested in ways of easy cloning their inventory.
YouTuber BLAINES has now shared another duplication method that works with almost all items in the game – except for things like bugs and fish. Nook Mile Tickets, Bells, and objects are eligible.

Megabyte Punch was pulled in Europe and Australia over game rating, dev working to fix issue

Yesterday, Team Reptile shared the news that Megabyte Punch was mysteriously pulled from the European and Australian eShops. It was unclear at the time why the retro beat ’em up game had been removed. Fortunately, less than a day later, we have concrete information as to what happened.
Team Reptile informed us that Megabyte Punch was updated on May 14 with a new rating that notifies potential players of violence. Though the developer doesn’t feel that a 12+ rating is necessary, a patch has been submitted to fix the issue.

Liberated launches on Switch in June, new trailer

Publisher Walkabout Games and developer Atomic Wolf have announced that Liberated, the hand-drawn comic adventure shooter, is coming to Switch next month. The title is slated for June 2 as an eShop download.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons director Aya Kyogoku has weighed in one what defines the spirit of Animal Crossing.
During an interview with French outlet 20 Minutes, noted that each player would probably have their own thoughts and feelings. However, Nintendo does “seek to make Animal Crossing a sort of common language, a starting point for communication between a large variety of people.”
