Monolith Soft recruitment message from Tetsuya Takahashi

Last week, Monolith Soft opened a new recruitment page on its website. The Xenoblade developer is looking for programmers, planners, artists, designers, and management.
The page was accompanied by a lengthy message from Tetsuya Takahashi, the boss of Monolith Soft. Takahashi explains why the company is seeking new employees, among other things.

Best Buy is taking a new wave of pre-orders for the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Special Edition. You can reserve it here.
The Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Special Edition includes the game, specially-designed Switch Pro Controller, and a steelbook. Best Buy is also giving out a double-sided collectible coin.
Blizzard changes its tune, now says there are no plans for cross-platform play with Diablo III

Yesterday, Business Insider reported that cross-platform play was all but a sure thing for Diablo III. The publication received a comment from a representative who stated: “It’s a question of when, not if.”
One day later, the situation has flipped completely. Blizzard has now sent out a new statement in which it says that there are no plans for cross-platform play with Diablo III.

Carcassonne slated for December 6 on Switch

We knew that Carcassonne would be coming to Switch at some point in December. We just didn’t know when. Thanks to an email from Asmodee Digital, we now know it’ll be arriving on December 6.
Carcassonne is the first of five best-selling card and board games Asmodee is planning for Switch. Others include The Lord of the Rings: Living Card Game, Pandemic, Catan, and Munchkin.

Starlink: Battle for Atlas’ physical version comes with a 6GB day one update

Starlink: Battle for Atlas will be available on the eShop, but as we know, Ubisoft is offering a physical starter pack complete with Star Fox content. If you intend to pick up the retail version, keep in mind that there’s a hefty update involved.
We’re hearing that the Starlink pack comes with a 6GB day one update. No word on what’s included, but the file size indicates that significant content is included to make the game run and play as intended.
Legend of Evil coming to Switch next week
