Original (3/4): The Super Mario Encyclopedia is finally releasing in English later this year. When it does, it’ll be accompanied by a limited edition.

Amazon’s listing says that the limited edition features “an embossed slipcase specially designed to look like the iconic Super Mario Question Mark Block”. Fans will be treated to one of four covers – Super Mushroom, Fire Flower, Super Star, or the 1-Up Mushroom, and each one is “accentuated with shimmering holofoil”. Additionally, the book includes “a ribbon bookmark, printed with the original beanstalk design from Super Mario Bros., and a sky-and-cloud design printed along the pages’ edge.”

By far the biggest news of the day was the announcement of tomorrow’s Nintendo Direct. Nintendo confirmed that Mario Tennis Aces will be shown, along with other titles for both Switch and 3DS. That’s about all we know at present.

PlatinumGames’ Hideki Kamiya actually retweeted the news from Nintendo’s Japanese Twitter account. That may lead some to believe that we could see something such as a port of The Wonderful 101 tomorrow or news about Bayonetta 3, though there’s certainly the possibility that fans are looking into this too much.

Indivisible

Lab Zero Games has a new video up for Indivisible, its upcoming RPG / platformer that will be appearing on Switch. It details some of the changes that have recently been made to the battle system during development. Check out the full video below.

NIS America intends to offer a reversible cover for Ys VIII on Switch, and fans can choose the design. Six different pieces of art are under consideration. You can vote on the one you think looks best here – just be sure to do so by March 18.

Tying in with the fan selection for the reversible cover, NIS America is also holding a contest. You can find more information about that here

Gal*Gun 2 will appear first in Japan on March 15. But as we know, the game will be available in North America and Europe sometime this year thanks to PQube.

If you just can’t wait for the upcoming localization, you’ll be happy to hear that the Japanese release supports English out of the gate. Those are the only two languages that are currently included.

Gal*Gun 2 can be pre-loaded in Japan as of now. The game takes up 3.3GB of space.

Ash of Gods will be appearing on Steam later this month. Following its launch, developer AurumDust will be shifting its focus to consoles, including a Switch version.

Ash of Gods promises ​turn-based tactical RPG gameplay that features “constantly evolving storytelling with risks that truly affect gameplay, along with an extensive online PvP mode.” One of the hooks is that any of the characters in game can die. AurumDust further says that “no two playthroughs of the game will be the same.”

AurumDust is hitting Switch in late 2018. We have additional details and a trailer below.

Media Create published the latest Japanese sales data today for the week of February 26. With information provided through March 4, we have the full picture of Switch’s first year performance in Japan (the system arrived on March 3, 2017).

Switch sold another 45,083 units in Japan last week. With that in mind, the total since launch sits at 3,802,910 units.

Switch’s sales stack up favorably to the PlayStation 4. Sony’s console sold 1,143,542 units in its first year in Japan, and 2,083,974 units in the year that just ended.

Semblance is heading to Switch, Good Shepherd Entertainment and Nyamakop have announced. A release is planned for this year.

Semblance offers puzzle-platforming gameplay. You’ll play as a soft, bouncy character in an equally soft, bouncy world as you unravel a story while exploring the world.
