Lumo seeing physical release on Switch

Last month, news broke that Lumo is coming to Switch. We initially assumed that it would be digital-only, but that won’t be the case after all.
Amazon currently has a listing up for a physical version of Lumo on Switch, boxart and all. A tentative October 31 release date and $30 price point are included on the page.
We also have further confirmation that 88Heroes is getting a physical release on Switch. It will also cost $30, and is listed on Amazon for $30.

Splatoon 2 – Splatfest #2 announced (flight vs. invisibility)

The next Splatfest for Splatoon 2 has been announced. In the second competition, players will be asked to choose between flight and invisibility.
This Splatfest will be taking place in both North America and Europe. We’re waiting on details for Japan at present.
The next Splatfest will run between September 1 and September 2.

Splatoon 2 Switch bundle announced for North America, exclusive to Walmart

A new Splatoon 2 Switch bundle is on the way to North America, Nintendo has just announced.
Walmart will be the exclusive retailer of the new package. It includes a Switch unit, download code for Splatoon 2, carrying case, and Neon Pink / Neon Green Joy-Con controllers.
The Splatoon 2 bundle launches on September 8. Pricing is set at $379.99.

Dragon Quest X shares details on new expansion

It wasn’t too long ago that Square Enix announced a new expansion for Dragon Quest X known as The 5,000 Year Journey to the Distant Homeland Online. In the latest issue of Jump, fresh details are revealed.
The expansion’s story involves the past world. Two characters are featured: a knight in black and a mysterious fairy named “Kyururu” who lends his powers to the hero.
The expansion also has a new Druid job from Dragon Quest VII. It specializes at hitting multiple enemies at once, and is characterized by the ability to freely control the power of nature.

Layton’s Mystery Journey launching October 6 in Europe

We knew that Layton’s Mystery Journey was planned for sometime in October on 3DS. Today, a final release date was announced – for Europe at least. Layton’s Mystery Journey will be available in PAL regions on October 6.
Nintendo appears to be publishing Layton’s Mystery Journey in Europe. According to the announcement, the series has sold over 8.7 million copies in the continent to date.
