Sooner rather than later, the Wii U will be meetings its end. The Switch will be here to replace it in just a few months. And if that wasn’t enough, Nintendo said this week that production of Wii U will be ending in Japan soon. The final shipments for the fiscal year were also already sent to North American retailers.

With Wii U on its way out, I was thinking it might be nice to hold a dedicated Let’s Talk topic to the system. Four years later, how do you feel about it? Do you believe Wii U was an overall failure, or does it have redeeming qualities? What’s your favorite game on the console? Share your thoughts with us below!

Last week, Famitsu provided its first extensive report on Monster Hunter XX. The magazine’s coverage included an interview with some of the game’s developers.

The production team structure is as follows: Ryozo Tsujimoto is still producing the entire series, and Shintaro Kojima is the main producer just like with the previous title. However, this time the director is Daisuke Ichihara, who used to work as a planner on Monster Hunter Generations and supervised monster productions. Takuro Hiraoka, who was also part of the planning team, is the main planner on XX. Yasunori Ichinose, as the director for Monster Hunter Generations, will act as backup, supervising the concept and follow-up on the production so that he can make sure there will be a proper evolution from the last game.

Niantic CEO John Hanke is teasing a secret hidden within Pokemon GO.

“There will always be secrets in the game that no one has found because we’re always adding new secrets to the game,” Hanke told GamesRadar. “There’s one out there right now and we’ll see how that plays out over the course of the next few weeks.”

Sadly, Hanke didn’t elaborate any further. GamesRadar asked if what he was referring to stems from the Halloween update, but Hanke responding by stating: “I am not giving you any clues.”

Black Friday 2016 deals were already made known this week at retailers including Best Buy, Target, Walmart, and Toys “R” Us. Thanks to BFAds, images showing GameStop’s offerings are now available.

Despite GameStop having the largest ad dedicated to Black Friday, at least in terms of Nintendo titles, there isn’t a whole lot here. There’s pretty much nothing for Wii U, and little for 3DS. The few highlights including $10 off Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice and SEGA 3D Classics Collection for $20.

Several new games out came out this week on the Wii U and 3DS eShops. If you’re interested in checking out what’s new in screenshot form, take a look at the gallery below.

Swap Fire, a new first-person shooter for Wii U, is coming to the Wii U eShop very soon. The North American date is now locked in for November 17.

Here’s an overview:

“Swap Fire’s a shooter with a literal twist. Shooting other players rips a hole in spacetime thus swapping your locations. You’ll have to commit to losing in order to win in Drop Zone, manage spacetime to dominate the map in Control Point, master the art of teleportation to go for the gold in Swoccer, and much more!

The year is 2139. Retro Quantum Industries (RQI) has invented the next wave of transportation. Forget autonomous vehicles, these scientists invented teleportation! Unfortunately, even 2139’s technologically advanced citizens are terrified to have their bodies teleported through time and space. After spending billions of dollars on R + D, the company cannot afford commercial failure.

The solution is Swap Fire! A high stakes game show, featuring teenage contestants utilizing RQI’s teleportation technology. Sales and usage of consumer grade personal teleporters spiked after the first season of Swap Fire, in which Justin Agitprop was crowned as the Swap Fire Valedictorian. Now, it’s time for season two. The fans are eager and the executives at RQI are more so!”

Swap Fire will cost $14.99 on the Wii U eShop.
