Zelda: Majora’s Mask now properly showing upgrade discount on the North American Wii U eShop
Posted on 8 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U eShop | 7 Comments
Nintendo brought The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask to the North American Wii U Virtual Console last week. But the normal discount for original Wii owners, which would have brought it down to $2, had not been applied.
We now have good news to report regarding the situation. Nintendo has fixed the issue, meaning those who previously purchased Majora’s Mask on Wii and transferred over to Wii U will now see the proper discount on the eShop. Thankfully it was taken care of in a shorter time than initially anticipated.
Thanks to TruExtent for the tip.
Top developers choose Nintendo titles as the best games over the past 23 years

The very first issue of EDGE debuted way back on August 19, 1993. With the magazine celebrating its 300th edition this month, a plethora of developers were asked to select their favorite games that have come out since then.
A number of big names went with Nintendo titles. Hideo Kojima, for instance, chose Pokemon Gold/Silver. Warren Spector meanwhile selected Super Mario 64 – as did many others.
Head past the break for the lineup of developers who picked Nintendo games.

My Nintendo – earn 50 extra Platinum Points, Flipnote Studio 3D returns
Posted on 8 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News | 5 Comments
My Nintendo received a substantial update yesterday in a few ways. The site itself was refreshed with a new look, and some new rewards were added in. We have a couple of extra things to point out that may have gone unnoticed.
First, you can now earn 50 extra Platinum Points. You can do so by clicking on your Mii three different times (on three different pages). The first two times you find your Mii, you’ll earn 10 points, and another 30 for the final time.
Flipnote Studio 3D has also returned, and costs 200 Platinum Points. It carries no expiration date, so the reward won’t be leaving My Nintendo anytime soon.
One other very small but neat detail by the way: you can click on a button on the missions page to collect all points at once.

Nintendo reveals how the new Zelda 30th anniversay amiibo work in Breath of the Wild
Posted on 8 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch, Wii U | 17 Comments
Four new Zelda 30th anniversary amiibo are out today. Fans can pick up 8-bit Link, Ocarina of Time Link, and Toon Link/Wind Waker Zelda in a double pack. Nintendo has now revealed how each one functions in Breath of the Wild.
Nintendo says that each amiibo provides random items. Those who are lucky may even receive a treasure chest with a rare item.
Scanning each figure will give you the following:
– 8-bit Link will reward you with a random number of barrels. You might find rupees inside too!
– Ocarina of Time Link will reward you with a random amount of meat.
– Toon Link will reward you with a random amount of fish.
– Wind Waker Zelda will reward you with a random selection of plants.
Other Zelda amiibo will be compatible with Breath of the Wild. When scanning Wolf Link, he’ll become a companion partner. The three figures slated for next year – Link (Archer), Link (Rider), and Guardian – will also work with the game.
