Netflix to debut Skylanders Academy on October 28

Activision announced in June that Skylanders Academy, the animated show based on its popular toys-to-life game series, will debut on Netflix this fall. A specific premiere date was shared today.
Netflix will have the first Skylanders Academy episodes on October 28. Season 2 is also in the works, and is planned for late 2017.

New Zealand retailer puts up listing for 3DS adapter with USB port

Update (9/20): Despite what the original listing indicated, the adapter is not an official Nintendo product. Here’s the packaging:
Original (8/19): New Zealand retailer MightyApe has put up a listing for a new Nintendo-made 3DS AC adapter. It’s a wall plug with a separate 3DS charge cable that inserts into the plug through a USB input. Apparently, it will also be compatible with the NES Mini.
MightyApe includes a tentative September 30 release date. The product will cost $13.99.
MightyApe was actually the first retailer to list the new Fire Emblem Fates and Smash Bros. 3DS amiibo bundles, which we originally heard about yesterday and were confirmed earlier today. Nintendo may have something the new 3DS adapter soon.

Pokemon Sun/Moon’s latest news update is in. Two new trailers are now online, showing quite a number of new things. We’re able to see trainer customization, the equivalent of Pokemon Amie (Pokemon Refresh), Eevee Z-Move, and a couple of new Pokemon. Watch the videos below.

Wii U / 3DS maintenance taking place in a few hours

Wii U and 3DS are once again about to undergo maintenance. In a few hours, both systems will be impacted for several hours, affecting online play, rankings, etc.

The Pokemon Company CEO: “We will make games for the NX”

Pokemon CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara has been quoted as saying that the company will create games for Nintendo’s next platform, the NX.
“The NX is trying to change the concept of what it means to be a home console device or a hand-held device,” he said. “We will make games for the NX.”
Ishihara shared those brief remarks as part of an interview with the Wall Street Journal. Unfortunately, he did not say when the first Pokemon NX games would be made available.
