Final Fantasy Tactics Advance is heading to the European Wii U Virtual Console tomorrow. As it turns out, North America will be having access to the game this week as well. Nintendo’s website lists Final Fantasy Tactics Advance for release on January 28 (yes, tomorrow!) for $7.99.
Here’s the game overview:
“When Marche and his friends open an ancient magical tome, their small town is transformed into a fantasy-filled kingdom known as Ivalice. Guide Marche and his clan against countless foes, and discover the wonders of Ivalice. Build up your party, master abilities and summons, and learn tactical combat to win in battle.”
It’s not often that we see North America and Europe receiving the same Virtual Console release during a particular week, so this is a nice surprise!

Gunscape won’t be on Wii U until Q2 2016

We have a bit of bad news regarding Gunscape, Blowfish Studios’ new shooter for Wii U. Although the game was dated for March 2 on pretty much every platform today, it won’t be on the eShop until sometime in Q2 2016.
Blowfish didn’t explain the Wii U delay, but confirmed that the title will support up to 5 players in split-screen multiplayer. There will apparently be support for up to 20 players online, too. Cross-platform level sharing is enabled, meaning creations can be shared between Wii U, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and other platforms.
Here’s the latest trailer for Gunscape:

Sakurai explains why Wario’s Shoulder Ram move was taken out of Smash Bros. Wii U/3DS
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News, Wii U | 43 Comments
In Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS, some changes were made to Wario. One of these includes the removal of the Shoulder Ram move. Masahiro Sakurai, director of Smash Bros., spoke about this in his latest Famitsu column.
Sakurai took on one reader question regarding the Shoulder Ram move in his piece, after a fan pointed out that he now uses a backhand punch instead. When asked about the change, Sakurai responded that they wanted to make Wario stronger. Shoulder Ram was a move that made him use his own body which is his hitbox to attack, making him easier to get hit. It had no range, and it was also difficult to push opponents off the cliff with it. Since Smash Attacks, especially the horizontal ones are moves that will decide the game, it was changed to make him stronger.
Sakurai added that if the team were to cling too much to reenacting the original moves, sometimes it wouldn’t be too interesting. He indicates that, ultimately, they prioritize the fun factor over adhering to the original series’ accuracy.
Guardians of the Galaxy tease spotted in LEGO Marvel’s Avengers credits

LEGO games often leave hints as to what’s coming next for the series. As one example, LEGO Batman 3 teased LEGO Jurassic World. Now that LEGO Marvel’s Avengers is out in North America, some players have already completed the game and are speculating about the next LEGO title.
Above is an image taken from the credits in LEGO Marvel’s Avengers, showing Peter “Star-Lord” Quill’s cassette player and headset. It’s a noticeable hint that we could be seeing a LEGO entry with a Guardians of the Galaxy theme in the future. However, it’s not yet known if the Guardians will get their own title, or if the gang will be featured in the next LEGO Marvel game.
