Youkai Watch 2: Shinuchi sells over 1.2 million copies in Japan

The newest Youkai Watch game is off to a fast start in Japan. Famitsu is reporting that debut sales for Youkai Watch 2: Shinuchi came in at 1,211,918 units. Those sales, which account for a two-day period, do not include units downloaded from the eShop.

Rumor: Sharp Corporation providing Nintendo with Free-Form Display

A report coming from Sankei indicates that Sharp Corporation is to provide Nintendo with a special Free-Form Display. This LCD screen “can be shaped to meet a wide range of user needs,” Sharp says.
It’s rumored that Nintendo will use the Free-Form Display in a new handheld or its upcoming Quality of Life device that monitors sleep. Sankei posts some speculation – apparently coming from official sources – that the company is considering a design where the LCD screen will feature a hole in the center.

Level-5 registers new Youkai Watch-related trademarks in the U.S.

Level-5 has picked up two new Youkai Watch-related trademarks in the United States. “Jibanyan” and “Whisper” – important characters from Level-5’s series – had filings on December 9.
Back in January, Level-5 trademarked “Yo-kai Watch” in the states.

Blok Drop X Twisted Fusion, Toss N Go file sizes

A pair of file sizes have come in for new RCMADIAX titles. Blok Drop X Twisted Fusion is an 81 MB download while Toss N Go clocks in at 66 MB. Both games are due out on the North American Wii U eShop this Thursday.
