Roguelike shooter Die After Sunset announced for Switch

Publisher PQube and developer Playstark announced today that they’re putting Die After Sunset on Switch. The game is due out later in 2023.
Die After Sunset is an action-packed roguelite shooter with hundred of items, unique quests, monstrous bosses, and hordes of enemies. Players can choose from three unique characters, complete quests, and become stronger after every run.

Have you ever wondered why there are floating blocks in the Mushroom Kingdom? This is just one of the questions the team behind The Super Mario Bros. Movie needed to think about while working on the project. Perhaps surprisingly, they even came up with an explanation.
Aaron Horvath, one of the directors on The Super Mario Bros. Movie, spoke about this in an interview with Variety. It turns out that the team came up with the term ‘floatanium’, which helps keep those blocks floating in the air. Adding more to the lore, it was decided that the mineral is natural to the Mushroom Kingdom.

Rogue Company ending support for its Switch version in June

Hi-Rez Studios and First Watch Games announced today that they’re ending support for the Switch version of Rogue Company. This is expected to happen on June 20, 2023.
In a blog post, it was mentioned that “the performance of our Switch port was not up to our standards, and we were unable to provide the level of support our players deserve.” Removing resources from Nintendo’s console “allows us to provide players on other platforms better support & focus for their specific issues, as well as deliver updates with more flexibility and frequency whenever needed.”

Action adventure game Kloa: Child of the Forest coming to Switch

Crytivo and Wildpad Games previously ended up hosting a Kickstarter campaign for for Kloa: Child of the Forest, and it ended up doing very well. €83,511 was raised – more than double the funding goal. There was also a €55,000 stretch goal that was reached, and because of that, we’ll be seeing it on Switch.

Super Bomberman R 2 release date set for September

Original (4/9): Konami has come through with a final release date for Super Bomberman R 2. According to a Japanese eShop listing, the title will launch on September 14, 2023.
Super Bomberman R 2 was previously announced for Switch last summer. Konami provided a general 2023 launch window at the time.

The Strong National Museum of Play today announced plans to create the world’s largest playable Donkey Kong arcade game.
Coming in at nearly 20-feet tall, it will be a prominent feature in The Strong’s 90,000 square-foot-expansion. Nintendo of America is said to be providing input on the project.
